I never profess to being to being the best Saints fan but family and friends illness/death matters have largely got in the way of me concentrating on Saints for the last couple of weeks and it's been quite easy to be able to be detached from Saints, to the point that I'd forgotten we were even playing tonight. Hopefully we can put in a performance tonight and get a decent result so that things start looking up. I still don't think Martin is the right manager for us going forwards but if the board have backed him then we may as well try to get behind him and hope that results turn around. The City game completely passed me by at the weekend but it sounds like we gave them a game. Now we need to turn performances into wins. Tonight being a cup game at least means we have a chance to boost our confidence levels. Hopefully.

Personally, I think that’s a decent side which should have too much for Stoke.

Sorry for your loss SNSUN. I’ve lost most of my interest in a league campaign over already bar the shouting but I’m watching tonight as a stand-alone game. Hopefully as per the Cardiff game we can see some goals and the ball moving quicker.

It's frustrating how negative this style of play is.

THB picks up the ball on the half way line, bursts forward, passes to Armstrong, stops and the ball goes back to the halfway line.

I believe this is now termed 'defending with the ball'.

Yeah would liked to see him start instead of Fraser. In fact I'd rather he had his place in the squad all season and we just didn't bother with Fraser.

Really should have had the foresight to sell Armstrong in the summer. Would have got a decent amount for him with the goals he scored and we knew he'd be useless for a Prem side.
