Quite simply why would an eighteen year old kid from Brazil want to come over to a cold miserable country, poor relegation threatened team in a second language in order to force his way it Real Madrid’s team?

You don't know about the father of Brazilian football do you?

Ibrahim Maza: 18 year-old at Hertha Berlin, apparently, not merely Endrick.

Attacking midfielder.  Looks promising.  Seems we are planning ahead for MF’s replacement already.  But …  In true Saints’ style likely to cost less than his predecessor.  In that way lies SR’s profits ever increasing and Saints’ ever downward league position trajectory (as if it needed any help).  🙁

Maza autocorrected to Mazda and now back to what it was before.

Seem to be looking to invest in lots of young, high upside players. That's strange, if we wanted to stay up surely we'd be looking for players who are good to go now and can help us this season. It's as if it's part of a wider strategy...

Yep, it’s called pissing your money up against the wall.

Why can’t we just be a normal fucking football club instead of this clever bollocks bullshit.

absolutely nothing wrong with that, btw. Its the model brighton have followed and its worked a treat for them.

Get your replacement through the door a year or 2 before and give them time to bed in and adjust.

1 thing you can't critise SR of is spending money. They've spent relatively big money each window. The problem, is that the money they've spend hasn't been wise.

What they probably won't be doing is chasing the dragon of staying in the Premier League and spending on players like in Jan 2023. Strategy allows relegation by the look of things.

So you've gone from "theres no money" to "they probably wont spend" after a couple of links in the papers. Almost like you're talking our of your arse.

Literally never said there was no money - SR have consistently shown they are happy to spend money. What I said we don't have the headroom in PSR to give us a good chance of staying up. As I said previously, I think we needed to spend nearly £200m to revamp the squad ready for the Prem.

What I didn't say was that we couldn't spend £5-10m (or £1-2m real term for PSR purposes) on low wage, high upside players for next year's attempt at getting re-promoted. In fact I expressly said it and that is the likely transfers we'd see. Quite funny that after I said it we started looking at young players. What a coincidence. Again.
