I’ll be very very disappointed if onuachu isn’t starting today. He looks to have the lot .surely he’s even a better option for the passing game anyway as he simply holds the ball better .. surely a no brainer for him to play

Disappointed it is then .. thought this might happen even though archer got the goal onuachu made himself a lot more involved .. bad decision imo

Manning got into the attacking third about 0 times against Arsenal which was ok as his job was to help control Saka, but today we need someone attacking down the left and he won't do that, or at least nowhere nearly as effectively as someone like even Armstrong or Fraser would.

That's odd. I can see Manning getting in the way of KWP.

Sulemana back on the bench so he's fit again.

Looks like the extra full back there to give strength in numbers, and a bit of fluidity between the defence and midfield. It looks as much like a belated "Here's how you can play Trent! 3 fullbacks!" appeal from Martin for the England job, as a normal set up.

Here's hoping it's enough.

what an atrocious line up. This is set up perfectly for Russell to say after the game that the performance and line up was his fault and not to blame the players, but he was proud of their bravery...

Aside from Manning, what’s wrong with it?

must win game and really bad decision not to play TP

we have no one to hold the ball up again.. small guy up front and where we won’t play balls in behind.

difficult to see where a goal is coming from with that side and we will concede and so need two to win

Roll up, roll up, for the formation and team selection tombola.

Is that a 5-4-1? At home, against Leicester, in a game we absolutely need to win?

If Manning is playing as a third centre half, why him and not Taylor who actually is a centre half and is on the bench?

Cornet, BBD, Wood and Edwards not even making the squad. If I was Dragan I would be asking serious questions about how my money was spent in the summer.

On paper that looks like an absolute mess, but they've had two weeks to prepare for this one so I'm guessing they will be well-drilled and organised in yet another new combination of formation and personnel. Let's see shall we.

Manning was the wing back against arsenal, with kwp slotting in a bit when arsenal attacked down the left. Not that Manning got forward much, he basically got to the half way line and passed it inside then didn't go further forward. I wonder if we're going to sit deep again and try to hit Leicester on the break, perhaps trying to get a first clean sheet

I can't understand why sulemana is on the bench. He wasnt good enough in the championship - I can't see him suddenly being good enough to help us in the PL

It’s called desperation

I'm looking at the team sheet, and I have no idea what kind of formation that's going to be.

I could understand doubling up at LB against Arsenal, but Leicester?

If Manning is the answer, what the fuck is the question?

BBD not even on the bench I see

That is a definite blessing in disguise!

I mean, can't we say that every game this season, no matter the line up?

This is true we have the weakest striker line up in the league and the club has had numerous opportunities to put this right! And What do they do?.... Buy a proven sick note player!

2 goals for Rat Boy and a 1-4 win to Leicester I fear. Genuinely thought TP might feature today after his decent appearance at Arsenal.

This is the thing that irritates me the most.  Oh and the weird formation/team selection.  It smells of a man who hasn't a clue what he's doing and is hoping something comes off.

Lots of focus on Aribo and Fernandes today to be a bit more creative. If Dibling gets at their FB early and he gets a yellow then it’s the way forward. I think we will be ok and get the win. Just hope the crowd stays with the team if there are a few misplaced or negative passes.
