What I can't even begin to fathom, is that we had a proper left back on the bench... But we left fatawa to absolutely murder manning and fraser at fucking full back? Last year was bad enough... But to watch that happen repeatedly this game and not change it is just shocking.

Yes

I mean as much as I utterly despise RM and I want him out, Anthony Taylor was an utter fucking disgrace today.

We’ve become such a laughing stock of a club, nothing about us. I’ve never felt so disillusioned and disconnected… club feels mediocre from top to bottom.

At least we’ve got new fan zones though.

There's relegation though and then there's being the laughing stock of the whole world. We'll be mentioned in the same breath as Derby County if we don't change Russ... maybe even worse. He has to go.

I thought it before anyway but after today I absolutely believe 100% if we stick with him for the season we’ll set a new low points record.

Yeah ok pal.

A penalty shout and potentially 3-1 to a penalty, 2-2 and down to 10 men in the space of 3 minutes for the same foul is giving him an excuse.

We lost because of that corner setup. Forget everything else. That corner setup has cost us 4 points vs Leicester and Ipswich. Not only that but we didn't make the change to stop fatawa after repeated immediate warnings and threats where he ripped us open. Who watched that out of all of us and didn't immediately see it was a problem. Taylor was on the bench, but we left manning and fraser to defend against that whilst we were cut apart - needlessly.. And just like Bournemouth first half, it was obvious and he didn't react until the game was effectively over.

Yes. Taylor has just done us dirty. But Martin has helped.

Feel a bit sorry for RM as the referee was bent as a nine bob note. Missed everything, bookings were a joke. VAR should have looked at the Vardy foul on Suga as let's face it, he has previous with injuring people.

BUT also RM made some of the worst subs ever. Noone who could defend on the left side. We put zero pressure on crosses into our box. And as multiple people have pointed out, we have a huge problem at the top of our box on set pieces. Our defensive set up is a mess.

It's tough, as going forward we did look better and he has compromised on going short all the time. But our defensive mess is a huge problem and I think that's on him.

It's taken us eight games to get one point so on that basis we will have 5 points at the end of the season as we are incapable of winning under Martin

With all those subs coming onand just messing  us up, why was lallana still on the bench, the one player who could calm it all down. Think RM is probably in awe of him, he knows more about the game than the guy trying to manage. Why prefer Smallbone and Fraser to him/

We're shit. There are three reasons why we are shit.  Sacking RM adresses one problem.  But we'll still have one of the weakest squads in the Premier league (problem 2), and we have muppets appointing managers and buying players (problem 3)

I’ve not been so fucking angry walking out a ground for a while. Taylor was an absolute disgrace but that’s a side issue. It doesn’t even need much analysis as the reason for the total implosion was 2 substitutes. If Taylor and Lallana come on instead of Fraser and Smallbone then we win 2-0. Manning at LB is a fucking disaster and you don’t replace your best player with Smallbone. Completely lost the midfield and Winks just kept spraying it out to Fatawa to destroy Manning.

Useless, absolutely fucking useless from Russell Martin.

"2-0 and you f-cked it up" sing the Leicester fans. Too right - it takes some real incompetence to go from 2-0 up at home and cruising with 30 minutes to go and losing.

Smallbone? Seriously? That substitution alone tells me how clueless RM is. Did Smallbone touch the ball?

The extra-extra time winner was so predictable I laughed. Numbed to it now.

Officiatiing was poor - VAR refs ridiculously inconsistent - worked against us but wasn't the reason we lost.

So time really is up for Martin now for me. Must win transformed into another loss.

Graham Potter come on down...

Such a disappointment even if we were letting it be an open game first half. We're not strong, fit or coached well enough to shore up a lead.

So I'm not the only one who thinks we aren't fit enough. It's looked like a problem right from the start. I seem to remember Strachan taking over and saying a lack of fitness was the first thing he was going to change. Not the only problem for a new (hopefully) manager of course 🤣

All the focus will be on Martin tonight and he can go for all I care but that’s on the ref.

Booked multiple players for absolutely nothing in the first half while they were kicking lumps out of us, going in from behind etc and we didn’t even get a foul. The Dibling one on the edge of the box is as obvious of a foul as you’ll see and he told him to get up.

The 2 penalty scenarios are the icing on the cake of a fixed game of football.

The red wasn’t the one that failed to mark players on the edge of the box… although the ref was a disgrace

There's a real softness to this team. We just got away with it last season as we were a level above most teams. At this level we won't, we've already squandered 5 points from home games against main relegation rivals. I'd love someone like Moyes to come in try and instill some backbone.

We aren't going to miraculously start scoring enough goals to keep us up but even if a manager improved the defence and made us much harder to beat it would be progress.....

I don’t disagree but the damage had already been done by the ref for me.

Taylor knew exactly what he was doing today. Book our wing backs so we can’t deal with them on the break. Book our two best players and hope they get subbed, and book our best CB so he has to think twice about every tackle.

Not for me - Graham Potter please.

No chance that Moyes or Potter are going to gamble their reputations on this pile of dung. Better opportunities will come for them this season.

Yes I agree. I've never been more certain that a ref had it in for us than today. He's done us dirty. Death by a thousand inconspicuous cuts.

The Pochettino double training sessions need to come back.

It is 100% on him but it ain’t tough. You can’t have such a glaring uselessness in your armoury at this level as him and his complete incompetence when it comes to organising a defence. You don’t even need to have a clue how to organise a defence to not repeat the Ipswich no defender on the edge of the box fuck up. But…..He DID IT.

Hardly got any better without him has it?

The way our fans celebrated his suspension, you'd have thought all our problems were down to him. Clearly not.

It’s not the fans it’s just some of the fans. It gets to me the vilification of Jack, one player who 100% cares, despite his limitations.

If we are unfit that alone should be a sackable offence because there is absolutely no excuse for us not being on a par with the fittest team in the Premier League.

Getting rinsed in the replies.

I like some of the things they do but it has to correspond with the outfit you represent. And that outfit has been complacent, sloppy, self-satisfied, lacking drive and direction, thinking it knows better than everyone else and taking its fanbase for granted ever since Ronald left.

Ref a disgrace today and I don’t love putting attention to that, not seen many worse

If Taylor comes on instead of Fraser we probably win that game

Smallbone seemed like even more of a competition winner than usual

Even 2-0 up at HT we were anything but impressive

He’ll get the City game but I think after that roll the dice and get somebody in for Everton/Wolves/Int break, this guy is not keeping us up

I’m not even angry or upset about losing, I’ve just come to accept it this season, fairly depressing from the high of May.

My thoughts exactly. Completely numb to it now and if RM doesn’t go immediately we will go down without so much as a whimper. We’ve fallen so far since those wonderful days of Poch and Koeman.
