Thoroughly enjoyable football. Great to watch and winning at half time. I wish we would play this way every game.

All it will take now to ruin my day.. Anthony Taylor continues to be a dick. RM tells the lads to revert to Russball. Saints lose 3-2… let’s hope not!!

Anyone who takes Fernandes off who is playing very well, for Will fucking Smallbone needs sacking. Whatever the question is, the answer is not and never will be in the premier league, Will Smallbone. RM you goon.

What’s with not defending the edge of our box, again.

Yes the ref was awful but Russ has done nothing to address our obvious issues. Not responding to Fatawu coming on, as if Manning on a booking and Fraser were going to deal with that. Get him gone.

That's fucking ridiculous.

If we'd put Taylor on, and not Fraser... plus the ref was a cunt in the first half.

Yeah, you've got an experienced left back on the bench who has played in the Premier League and was probably unlucky to be dropped but smartarse Russ thinks it's a better idea to bring on a guy who plays as a winger. You couldn't make this shit up.

If we’re ever see Taylor referring us again it’ll be too soon.

Agreed.

Should have been allowed the corner, they were passing it around 40yards out at walking speed when 7min ticked by.

The bias on fouls and yellows all game.

The non penalty. Just a joke. Every little decision went against us this game consistently.

The corner is a carbon copy of the Ipswich set up though. Zero excuse for that. Sackable offence to concede two goals like that in the 90+6 etc minutes to Ipswich and Leicester. Shocking. Furious actually.

I’m sure many have mentioned it but too pissed off to read through the thread.

Leicesters winner a carbon copy of the mistake made against Ipswich. Russ substitutions are poor and players coached to sit deep in the box leaving so much space around the areas for skilled players to pick out corners.

No room for sentiment in football. Russ is a personable guy and is clearly well regarded by players. He is, however, tactically out of his depth in the premier league

What a fucking disgrace, yet again.

Knew when we went 2-0 up that we’d probably still lose, how fucking depressing is that.

Fuck off.

but how were WE not given a penalty eh?....tall paul was the only decent sub we used today imo. Tbh the ref had an absolute shocker btw given that hed booked 6 before our subs were on ,thought wed have lost one before Fraser was done ,but why wasnt our penalty looked at before......................?

As soon as they pulled one back it seemed inevitable. It's so obvious RM can't coach defending and at this level it's being ruthlessly exposed. If the board don't care about relegation then I guess they'll keep him on. If they do, they have to sack him now.

Disgusting performance from Taylor, glad to see RM go on to the pitch and confront him. Looks as if he said that was a fucking shambles.

Regardless his times is up and he knows it

As was the decision to bring on Fraser instead of Taylor.

My immediate thought when he made that sub was we’ll end up losing. Also Fraser at LB when he had Taylor on the bench. Honestly he is just so fucking naive it’s impossible to adequately describe.

All the focus will be on Martin tonight and he can go for all I care but that’s on the ref.

Booked multiple players for absolutely nothing in the first half while they were kicking lumps out of us, going in from behind etc and we didn’t even get a foul. The Dibling one on the edge of the box is as obvious of a foul as you’ll see and he told him to get up.

The 2 penalty scenarios are the icing on the cake of a fixed game of football.

The third goal was entirely tactical. We know we don't mark the edge of the box. All our opponents do too. It is no surprise that they practice ways of taking advantage of it. We've seen it happen, and RM has persisted with it.

We had the odd near thing through Archer early on second half. Leicester continued to push. A combination of their better fitness (noticeable as it went on), individual talent and physical power paid off. Our lack of tempo, game management and brittleness let them do it.

I didn't think much of our bench before kick off today. Leicester brought on a game changer. Sadly. so did we, just in the opposite way. Taylor okay, TP a bit of a huffing lump with no support, and no idea why RM has turned to Sule now, having frozen him out. Will was anonymous at best, and offered no respite to the side.

Such a disappointment even if we were letting it be an open game first half. We're not strong, fit or coached well enough to shore up a lead.

Yeah and add that to the decision to bring on Fraser instead of Taylor. You do wonder what goes through Martin's brain.

Fucking prick

Absolutely not, pretty gutted actually as I think Martin deserved time, but I probably feel better at the result than you do right now, so swings and roundabouts...

I'm by far not a master tactician, but surely anyone can see that by leaving Manning at lb basically on his own we're going to completely give Leicester complete freedom do what what they like offensively down the left. Taylor for sugawara was the obvious change if he had to come off injured. It's rare one change can completely ruin you like that one did. First half was nice though I guess...

I don't blame Martin or the players for that

That is on that cunt Taylor, 100%

Needs to be investigated because I've never seen anything as blatant as that

Did the ref choose who we brought on from the bench?

Ryan Fraser wouldn’t get near any other Premier League side, quite why we signed him because it’s nice to have “weeman” around the place is beyond me.

As for Smallbone, he’s such a non entity in this league, got all the guile and presence in the middle of the pitch as a fucking traffic cone.

The fact Russ bought these two onto the pitch is worth the sack alone.

Genuinely think Saints should lodge a complaint against that refereeing display.

That said, from 2-0, the way RM managed the team should be a straight red. That's up there with the worst of inept managing. So many substitution errors and that defending of the final corner, especially after Ipswich, was criminal.

There's relegation though and then there's being the laughing stock of the whole world. We'll be mentioned in the same breath as Derby County if we don't change Russ... maybe even worse. He has to go.

What I can't even begin to fathom, is that we had a proper left back on the bench... But we left fatawa to absolutely murder manning and fraser at fucking full back? Last year was bad enough... But to watch that happen repeatedly this game and not change it is just shocking.

Yeah ok pal.

A penalty shout and potentially 3-1 to a penalty, 2-2 and down to 10 men in the space of 3 minutes for the same foul is giving him an excuse.

Martin will talk about energy levels, or getting a specific role on with Will. But RM's subs lost whatever momentum we had today, and we were well beaten after he made them.

Maybe rather than giving players and himself time off during the international break some of that precious time could have been better spent practicing defending corners in the last minute of a game. Inexcusable to do the same again as the Ipswich game. He should go but we know he won't.
