Jack Posted 5 October, 2024 Posted 5 October, 2024 Three fucking full backs on the pitch and 2 more on the bench after a bench with 5 strikers and no defenders last week? Absolute clown. I think he’s trying to get sacked. Or throwing in one of last season’s scapegoats to deflect attention. 1
Lighthouse Posted 5 October, 2024 Posted 5 October, 2024 Just now, Wade Garrett said: I’m m surprised the idiot didn’t pick 2 keepers. Manning! Fucking hell, someone obviously wants to spend my time with Lucy. If you get time with Lucy, why are you wasting it on here, talking to us?

obelisk Posted 5 October, 2024 Posted 5 October, 2024 Whatever else it's clear that Martin still has no idea what his best side is. Players in, out and shake 'em all about. 2
SWLondon Saint Posted 5 October, 2024 Posted 5 October, 2024 I can only assume he wants Manning and KWP to double up on Saka or he is actually trying to lose by double figures and get the boot.

Edmonton Saint Posted 5 October, 2024 Posted 5 October, 2024 (edited) Fraser and Cornet go from starting Monday to completely out of the squad today. Martins tombola style of management evidenced here again. Edited 5 October, 2024 by Edmonton Saint 5
Jack Posted 5 October, 2024 Posted 5 October, 2024 As a manager you’re asking for it if every lineup makes no sense, and you’re still getting dicked every week. Starting Ryan manning for his first game at Arsenal away when you’ve got a prem experienced left back on the bench. Fucking joker. Can only get away with it if it actually works and it won’t 3
adrian lord Posted 5 October, 2024 Posted 5 October, 2024 Most unlikely to get sacked after a loss to Arsenal, because the defeat is expected. Everton or Wolves look more like guillotine games. Anyway, the Arsenal chap at work says we re their bogey team so we might pull off a surprise today. Looking at the line-ups, er naaaah.

danjosaint Posted 5 October, 2024 Posted 5 October, 2024 Guys such a fucking clueless prick, get rid soon as 1
SWLondon Saint Posted 5 October, 2024 Posted 5 October, 2024 The Arsenal line up clearly says they don't believe we have any threat in behind so they're going to be a 3-3-4 and press hard onto our back 4. Unless we're going to play mid length passes into Stewart be prepared to see us lose the ball a LOT in the danger zone.
Bewildered Posted 5 October, 2024 Posted 5 October, 2024 It'as like he decides the matchday squad by raffle. 2

tdmickey3 Posted 5 October, 2024 Posted 5 October, 2024 (edited) Utterly mental selecting Manning, he’s definitely trying to wind up the fans. How anybody, anywhere with even the slightest understanding of the game would look and say playing Manning against Saka, Martinelli etc is credible, only someone who has the tactical know how of plankton would do something so utterly cretinous. Russell Martin just fuck off you absolute nutter Edited 5 October, 2024 by tdmickey3 4 1

It’s like a game of tag. KWP is replaced by Taylor, Taylor gets replaced by Manning and KWP comes back in we know not where?
BARCELONASAINT Posted 5 October, 2024 Posted 5 October, 2024 Who on here actually enjoys their Saturdays anymore, serious question! I hate being back in the Premier League. We all suspected we would be the weakest team and so it has come to pass. A lot of my mates stopped going to Saints games a couple of seasons ago and started going to watch Eastleigh, apparently it's a lot less stressful. I was asked last night will i watch todays game and i had no hesitation in saying why would i want to completely ruin my day. Instead i will probably watch the City v Fulham game. 1 1
captainchris Posted 5 October, 2024 Posted 5 October, 2024 So Manning starts and Lallana gets benched when if ever there was a game we needed him this is it…. RM defies all logic on many levels. 3

davefizzy14 Posted 5 October, 2024 Posted 5 October, 2024 (edited) Really don't get why Charlie Taylor has been dropped to the bench, he's been one of our best players in recent games. Glad to see KWP back in. Edited 5 October, 2024 by davefizzy14 2
derry Posted 5 October, 2024 Posted 5 October, 2024 I am really past caring what this twat does. I've seen last minute "Hail Mary" substitutions but Ryan Manning. Behave! 3
Ken Tone Posted 5 October, 2024 Posted 5 October, 2024 So is manning going to play as a third CB, with KWP at LB or is he experimenting with KWP playing further forward as sort of right winger? Either way, it's pretty clear he's just trying anything in tge hope of arriving at a successful set up, with no clear plan. 1
Baird of the land Posted 5 October, 2024 Posted 5 October, 2024 2 left backs, a tactic to completely shut down saka?

Tom57 Posted 5 October, 2024 Posted 5 October, 2024 Hello, long time lurker, first time poster here. That's a weird line up for sure. Maybe a 451 with Manning as a LM. I really very hope he isn't playing lb as he's not even championship level there defensively 5

The Kraken Posted 5 October, 2024 Posted 5 October, 2024 BBC are going with this line up. It’s possible I suppose, if mental. But BBC often get their predicted formations wrong. 1
SNSUN Posted 5 October, 2024 Posted 5 October, 2024 He's lost it. Russ has lost it. I know what tbe answer is to our winless run... play Manning against Arsenal. 1 1

Tommy Mulgrew Posted 5 October, 2024 Posted 5 October, 2024 The BBC lineup, but with Taylor instead of Manning, is not a bad one, tbf. But Manning fgs! 1
LGTL Posted 5 October, 2024 Posted 5 October, 2024 It was clear that he’d lost it at Bournemouth. The bloke is turning fucking mental in the same way as Nath. Ryan Manning away at Arsenal 😂😂😂 1

derry Posted 5 October, 2024 Posted 5 October, 2024 I think he got his sentence wrong. What he thought he said, "I'm managing in the Premier League" not "I'm a Premier League Manager" There's a world of difference. 3
OneMrsWallace Posted 5 October, 2024 Posted 5 October, 2024 Hi. My first post on here. I'm not that great at analysing formations, I just try and enjoy the football, which is pretty challenging at the moment - but I'm at a complete loss to understand RMs decisions. Is he a complete charlatan or have I missed something? 1
Saint_clark Posted 5 October, 2024 Posted 5 October, 2024 Arsenal over 4.5 is 4/1 on Coral, surely easy money? Should soften the blow. 1
