Time to go full r-word (mad Nat).

                                      Rambo

Bree         Harwood-B                 Bednerak             Taylor

Suga         Lallana                        Downes                KWP

                  Arma                            Paul

Pump it long all game. Bring Archer and Ross when the forwards wear down. A proper Dyche setup. We will get scored on regardless of what we do and we won't get many clear chances. But this might keep it close......er?

4-0 is a par result. Hopefully it’s a lot more so we can force the hand of Dragan to remove Russ. With no game for two weeks there is no real need for Arteta to ease up.

I am regretting laughing at the Pompey fans all week at work following their Stoke result.

I'm torn on this one. Part of me wants the club to go there and beat the mighty Arsenal, it's my club and obviously want them to succeed.

The problem I've got is that a big part of me also wants them to go there, play archetypical Russball, get right royally rogered, the board to wake up and give RM his marching orders.

At the moment I'm undecided as to which I want more.

Football is a funny old game….

The gulf in quality between the 2 clubs would suggest we have a near zero chance of leaving their place with anything. I would fucking love it if we did grab something. Arteta is such a cunt on the sidelines, the more raggy he gets the worse his team plays.

4-3-3 please and gorgeous dollop of luck.

Up the fucking Saints!!

I feel sorry for you. The most obvious answer is we win then it can all be “despite Russball, not because…” or some such bollocks.

You want the latter..... Short term pain for long term gain!

I don't think we're going to sack him any time soon, regardless of the result.

The Leicester game will be more consequential

No point wasting the 2 week international break but more wishful thinking

I've got a strange feeling Martin will be in charge all season as they can't afford to pay him off. I feel we are going to be a yo yo team like Norwich were for years. He won't change his style. Too stubborn. Damage limitation today. I'll watch the first 30 mins 🤣🤣

I'm hoping that RM will have a change of heart and play a pragmatic counter attack based on 4-2-3-1:

Ramsdale

KWP ABK Harwood-Bellis Taylor

Downes Lallana

Dibling Fernandes Archer

Stewart

And that we give it a damn good go and keep playing to the very end.

Had a strange dream last night.

Something about crawling around on all fours, with a feeling of sad acceptance and a shooting pain in my bum.

Woke up biting the pillow and with a memory of strange, satisifed, Spanish sounding grunts coming from behind me.

Maybe something I ate?

0-1 40/1

7-0 60/1

9-0 100/1

0-2 100/1

Can't remember the last time it felt like we were dead certain to lose. Even the last time in the premier league, there was always the hope we'd sneak a point at Man City/Liverpool or whatever.

I've still put a few quid on us sneaking a win at 20/1. 😏 Never bet against your interests.

After Monday night’s game RM was extolling the virtues of Ross Stewart and Joe Aribo, so I’d assume they’ll both be starting.

My best guess (who can predict the tombola line up after all?) is:

Ramsdale

Sugawara ABK Harwood-Bellis Walker-Peters

Downes Aribo

Dibling Lallana Fernandes

Stewart

I think if Stephens wasn’t suspended he’d have gone 5 at the back, so unless out of the blue Bella-Kotchap comes in, I can’t see Wood or Edward’s starting instead. You just never know with our Russ though, there is always one curve ball in there…

Ahhh. I see what he's doing.

Floating double-fullbacks. Fuck the inverted approach: that's legacy. Two fullbacks on one side, with KWP the one who swaps sides to confuse and overload the opposition.

Clever. I like it.
