To be fair to RM, he has set up to try not to get beat. A low block with KWP as a 2nd left back when it's with Saka, then he has a kind of free defensive role when it goes left and KWP has actually mopped up quite a lot of potential danger.

The problem right now is we have literally 0 threat. Stewart was clearly on to try to hold up the ball which he was doing OK at up against 2 class CBs. So why the heck replace him with Archer, who is clearly a channel runner / ball in behind type?! Would make more sense to have BBD or Tall Paul in surely?

Playing with a low block to concede possession to the opposition, and then playing keep-ball on the rare occasions that we do manage to not give it away immediately. It's utterly ridiculous.

It's fine to have a quick channel runner like Archer on in a game like this if we are going to try and play him in with first time balls on the counter. But there's zero chance of us actually doing that because of RM's stubbornness.

Can't be missing chances like that. Great from Dibling

I am not sure it was that clear cut.  Good work from Dibling though, agreed.

Playing some really good stuff so we decide to pass it back and drop deeper so we're under more pressure.

Unbelievable. We were playing really good stuff with our defence on the half way line, ended up dropping backwards until we're playing it around between our keeper and centrebacks and wouldn't you know, we hand the momentum to Arsenal.

FFS Martin don't let us sit back now!

That's what we should have done, tbf. We started to play and gifted them the goal.

Who knew?
