If we score early, then all we’ll do, is try and hold on to that score line. So here’s hoping it’s 0-0 in the 76 minute, we score, and try to hold on for a  1-0 win.

yeah thats my worry. We rarely try to press home the advantage when we go one up.

Have they got anyone on a barren goal scoring streak or new signings that need to break their duck? Worth throwing money on them getting a goal.

yeah that centre forward they got for big bucks to replace Solanke, dont think he's scored yet.

Missed a penalty too.  So we have that in common.

He was £40M+ as well wasn't he, they've spent some big money at times Bournemouth, record signing well over ours so despite being a small club in Dorset with league one fan base financially they have more spending power than us.

If we had a pragmatic manager this is a game we should be looking to grind out a low score draw or a 1-0 win. With RM however I suspect we'll play open football and get picked off again.

So this is how depressing it is. Bet365 are giving 3/2 on the Muff and 5/1 on us.

Bearing in mind they're as crap as us.

They're really not as crap as us.

Boscombe will rue the day they met this bunch - crosses raining into the box for 90mins - Knockdown after knockdown from TP - Dibbers & the Wee Man having a field day on the wings,  1 - 3 Saints COYR!!!!!!!!

Surely we have to win at some stage? I often find that when everyone is accepting of the fate and defeatist, the opposite happens. No logic to it, but based on that I fancy us.

I remember people thinking we'd get pummelled by Leeds at home last September, after a similar run.

It's hard to be positive though I'll give you that, just 2 goals scored and 9 let in for the first five games is as bad as it gets really. If it doesn't get better from this point then we might as well pause our club for 10 months and start again in August.

Yep although I'd have preferred  a day out there on a Saturday to be honest,  still should have time for a couple of pints pre match

Straight to the point.....if we lose tonight does Martin get sacked?

Don't think so but I see Graham Potter is the Sky Pundit tonight.....makes you think....perhaps he has held off the England job for the bigger fish 😉

I think he's there mainly to review weekend games particularly Chelsea Brighton as he managed both clubs. Nothing to see here.

Think he (Potter) is too, and anyway, we're winning tonight. I've just secured my 23/1 2-1 win though strangely enough, my betting pool is looking thin on the ground nowadays!

I can't understand how Bournemouth have avoided being in trouble with financial fair play or whatever it's called now. Their fan base is so small that I can't see how their regular income can cover the sort of money they've spent in the last 4 or 5 years.

But he must be very close, I think he will be given the Leicester home game.

I don’t think he must. We expected a tough start and planned for the long term.

Probably TV money and the £65m for Solanke.

A team that doesn't create anything and gives away soft goals in a league where that sort of thing gets punished. However, we have our first point now. Then again, the manager doesn't seem to know his best team. Hard to see anything beyond a 5-0 win to Saints.

I predict a lot of angst and gnashing of teeth on here over the next 3-4 hours. How fantastic would it be to actually come away with 3 points? As always with our beloved club, it’s the hope that hurts the most.

The problem this evening is I don’t even think Bournemouth see us as a big deal anymore. They used to get over excited and choke on their big day out, reality is they are better than us now and I for one will be amazed if we can even get a draw.
