We always win on possession it is RM’s flex.  Surely he’s getting fired in the morning I’d rather have big sam or moyes at the helm at least we might see a bit of fight then instead of this limp nonsense!

Do you not undertand the players are crap especially the forwards who have not scored one goal in six games and have not even played Liverpool Arsenal Man City or Chelsea. It is not fight we need but players with skill who can compete in the PL.

Our recruitment has been poor for years and our squad is the worst we have had in the top flight since we were promoted to Div 1 in 1966 and I have seen them all.

The thing that amazes me is that anyone thought it was going to be better.

The score line was pretty much as expected, what was unexpected was the team selection, positioning of players and the first half total capitulation.

Perspective and all that. We were never going to be competitive this season. Getting cross about will change fuck all.

Weren't we? Why should we expect to be less competitive than Luton and Sheffield United were last season? Because at the moment we look worse than both of those sides.

Because they had effective styles of play that their Championship players could perform in, we are trying to play like City with Championship players.

I see the arrogant twat has launched into Alfie House for having the nerve to ask why Lallana didn’t start !!

Just spoken with Russell Martin. Asked him about Adam Lallana and whether he was fit to start.

RM: "Do you want to go through every player and we'll talk about the selection?"

AH: "Just Adam Lallana specifically."

RM: "If he was fit and firing and ready to play after his performance against Ipswich, I think he would have played. You agree?"

AH: "Well, you're the manager."

RM: "Well, I'm telling you he would have played."

I’m not cross, just frustrated that it doesn’t need to be this awful. Competitive for me is Luton last season, Blackpool when they came up. Stay in most of the games, a few wins for hope, give 100%, fit, well organised, play at a decent tempo. That’s the minimum with our resources and history, and shouldn’t be beyond his replacement even if we aren’t good enough as we suspected over 38 games. Martin is miles below that and not acceptable in his position and on his salary.

Martin is cracking up. Just lost it with Alfie House who is a more than reasonable journalist. This ends horribly and hopefully soon.

Of course. Saves the frustration for the local reporter and not the sky cameras

Playing Dibling centrally today is one of the worse decisions I’ve seen in 50 fucking years of following this club. Right up there with Branfoot dropping Matt. Unbelievable decision only a Narcissist would make, “look how clever I am”.

Bournemouth, fucking Bournemouth giving it oles in the first half, the first fucking half. Embarrassing….

He's always been an arsehole when his decisions are questioned.

Also asked Russell Martin about naming five strikers on the bench: "I just wanted an aggressive bench. We need to win a game, we need to score more goals. We haven't scored enough goals. I mean, that was pretty self-explanatory”

yes, nice one Russell

We’ve got a better squad than either of those. If Burnley, SU and Luton were in EPL this year we’d stay up. Sadly we’ve been promoted from a brutal Championship into a very strong EPL. We have had no chance since the first ball was kicked this season.

He's losing it. If it's self explanatory then don't do interviews.

That’s fucking mental.

We need to score more goals so I put all of our potential goal scorers on the bench.

Retard.

RM is clearly out of his depth and needs to be replaced.  However, when a team is as poor as us it's rarely down to the manager alone. Our recruitment has been atrocious this season and last.

Luton got 26 points last season. Where the fuck are we getting 27 points from? 😂

We could have a mini 4 team league with those 3 and we wouldn’t get 27 points.

It wasn't atrocious last year, there's just more leeway to get things wrong. Two years ago it was terrible I agree.

I agree in some ways but not in others. Did you think Everton were better than us at Goodison? Were Ipswich miles better last week if we’d have cut out some of the slow passing shit? We were actually better second half. We didn’t give ourselves a chance at Brentford to assess if we could compete with them given the General Custer tactics. It was unlikely we were going to stay up but we’ve thrown away a point v Newcastle, Forest, penalty debacle v Man U, Ipswich late goal by not protecting the D, and tonight’s disaster tactics. 5/6 points and tonight gets put down to an off night. You can’t disrespect any industry by playing at or hiding behind philosophies. 100% organisation, focus, planning for every game.

That is nonsense. We are short a CF but other than that we have a team strong enough yo try and stay up. This squad is better than the last BPL squad we had. It’s the manager that is shite.

We are totally out of our depth and don’t look like a Premier League team. Save for Newcastle against 10 men we haven’t all season. We are a pretty toxic mix of a bang average squad and a poorly coached team. There were some horror shows last season but we got away with it because we had better players. There’s absolutely no pragmatism now in recognising our weaknesses and adopting a strategy that plays to the strengths. At the moment I have no idea what we are trying to do apart from not lose the ball and we seem unable to create decent goal scoring opportunities. We just fanny about with it - it’s hopeless football and teams must love playing us.

We are also fucked by an abysmal recruitment strategy that today saw us play without a recognised CF but with 5 (five) on the bench. How much have we wasted on bang average football players instead of signing a few top drawer ones. We have played six games and our defenders have contributed 2/3 of our goals !

I guess at some point we will win a game but the moment we are a team that concedes and cannot score so it looks like this could be an absolute horror show of a season and I feel it’s already over.

Think we have to replace RM. I don’t think it will make a difference to relegation but whatever he’s trying to do isn’t working and it seems wrong to keep him there.

It all went downhill when he started dating Lucy Pinder. Looks like she picked the starting line up tonight as well.

Doubt it, surely she would've had two up front?

The squad we have is more than capable of staying up. There is some utter dross in the BPL this year. The manager is the issue and if we make the right appointment we can compete. We’ve got one point yet nowhere near cut adrift. Shows what a poor league the BPL has become.

That was a sorry night. It simply didn't work and after Ipswich some continuity would have been fine. Lallana and (despite missed chances) Archer should have started.

Too much to dwell on but one very small part summed up a key element that we need to change this season. Fraser gets fouled 10 yards inside their half and by the time I look up the ball is on the edge of our box and we're under pressure because we chose to play it backwards. That is just bad football and not taking responsibility. We're not good enough to pass up opportunities to get the ball forward.

In my view RM is not totally at fault - it is the fact that we have recruited donkeys (at this level) like BBD, Archer and Fraser. Even if PG was manager we would be relegation fodder.

Didn't someone post recently that Russ was given effective control and/or final say on recruitment this summer...?

How I see it.

1.) Martin has to go, he won’t get us Derby’s points total. He played a load of small men up top first half which meant we had no out ball against a well organised pressing side. Potter or Moyes need to be the options.

2.) the body language of the players first half looked awful, they had thrown the towel in. Winning the second half means nothing as Bournemouth had taken the foot of the gas.

3.) That useless yeti who came on at half time and occupied the left wing is a disgrace.

4.) spare a thought for the fans trying to get back with no trains after that crap.

5.) our so called better players, Downes and Sugawara both poor tonight. KWP has to play every game regardless of contractual issues.

6.) Charlie Taylor about the only player who had a good game.

A big memory for me tonight: the look on the faces of the players at 3-0 down first half, and making more mistakes fannying around at the back.

Really made me think they don't believe in 'the style'.

if you wanted to throw him a bone I agree that’s right

no PL manager can be happy when he’s given BBD and Archer as his forward  signings and maybe his decision to put all five on the bench tonight was his way of saying that to the club

I would sack him for thinking aribo was outstanding.

Man can't ever turn forward, can't control a ball.

Always tried to give RM time but think it's up now.

Totally agree, Aribo’s level is Championship, simple as that.

Strange (or worrying) - thought he was one of our better players this evening.

Oh he was but it was in the second half after the match was lost and comparing him with most of them today it’s a low bar to be one of the better ones.
