Oh look. If you play with a proper striker and people in their correct positions, you can create chances to score.

Who could possibly have predicted that?

Martin was trying again to be too clever in the first half. And it's unforgivable.

Stewart's touch has had a tough start so far, mis controlling a few balls up to him

It's almost as if he's only got about half an hour of football under his belt in a year and a half. Meanwhile another striker on the bench put it in the net 15 times in 19 games last season.

And has never played at such a high level as this. Needs time to adapt.

Not Ross’s fault. Bought him injured and barely trained with the squad in totality of his time here. Sunderland were laughing but got to get the best we can out of him and the dysfunction in the club and coaching set up isn’t helpful.

I can’t watch Diaz run in slow motion for the rest of the season.

Don’t think he is fully fit or not training properly. Seen him play for Blackburn and Sheff Utd. Granted, he isn’t Mane but has a change of pace and strong. Only mid-20s but Mark Hughes in his late 30s was quicker this season. Another sign of serious issues at the club.

It's just not our pressing 🤣

True but I can just about forgive a lack of ability. You don't need a technically gifted team to coach a team to operate an effective press. Same goes for keeping a disciplined shape and holding a defensive line.
