It certainly seems like it.

I'm going to predict that Rusk will be incharge for Fulham, but there will be a Danish man in the crowd with dark glasses and fake beard.

Then he'll be announced on Sunday evening/Monday morning.

Ankersen is universally disliked but I would expect him to front it out from the directors box without the disguise. Needs to man up!

I said it before, I know 100% we have expressed interest in Eustace and so far as I know we were given permission to speak to him. I have not heard anymore about how that went and if indeed it ever got to a meeting but my mate up there will let me know. FYI, rarely have I ever been ITK accept back in the days I knew a few Saints players personally. But on this occasion a chap I know and used to work with, he works at Ewood Park.

Interested to know why you think that? I have no knowledge of him - good, bad or otherwise.

I would say a big risk rather than own goal. Minimal big leagues experience and what he did have Mainz was almost as bad as what Jones and Martin gave in the PL. Won the Danish league at a small club so that was more impressive, the Danish national team is what he’s best known for. Apparently likes possession-dominant football which is more of a risk again. He’d be better starting off in the Champ now and if he makes a good start he could be in the PL with someone else next season.

Saints need top leagues experience - with a proper DoF in place, the set up severely lacks major football experience at either the club or within SR. The last two appointments have gone wrong because of this.

Possible, we have been linked earlier in the season. In fact, if the club are speaking to at least three options as per House’s tweet it’s quite likely Eustace is one of them. Would mean paying compo to Blackburn though and he’s got a lot of his contract left to go. Unless it’s a fixed release then it would be potentially as costly as Rohl or Corberan.

He's not here to be liked, successful people rarely are in business. He's here to drive a strategy and create a successful, high performing, winning organisation, oh shit........

Giving a caretaker the job based on one game worked wonders two years ago.

There's every chance that could be down to the person being naff rather than the underlying concept being naff... #MLG_MODE

What would be wrong with Jesse Marsch? I know some made it seem like it would be the 4th season of Ted Lasso. However, he is attack-minded and instantly improved the fortunes of the Canadian National Team.

Danny Rohl would be great too. I just want our football to have some pace and be watchable again.

There’s something that just irritates me about listening to yanks talking about football, so it’s a no from me

YI think in the past we have had  better results when appointing more experienced managers then we have taking the young up and coming managers .. pochetino is probably one of the only ones who really worked out at the top level ..

as far as the more experienced ones though koeman and hoddle where great Ralph was pretty experienced .. even hughes kept us up and redknapo might have if he got the gig earlier .

fans tend to look at managers a bit like boxers once they have had one bad job the fans tend to not want them anymore . Ie adkins he was once the next upcoming manager with a good record in championship etc but a lot of fans wouldn’t want him now

Just saw that Simon Rusk is a 66/1 long shot to be our next permanent manager. Those odds will dramatically shorten if the team carry on their "second half" form into the next game and we, dare I say, win 🙂

He was 12/1 before the game, they must have changed the odds "in-play" at half time

I’m just glad there more than one option we’re looking at, suggests to me it’s not going to be another case of Rasmus having a hard on for one candidate in particular as we had with Jones and Martin and it may actually be a case of best man for the job.

Cheers - based on this assessment I’d prefer DR

Martin was Wilcox’s choice, whether that gave Rasmus a raging hard on, semi or left him limp I couldn’t possibly say.

Personally prefer Rohl over Corberan who I feel is overly defensive. That is possibly what we need now but next year we will need to be more expansive than his WBA side has proven to be. I thought they were poor in the playoff games and didnt really make an effort to win the tie - they just sat in and waited for us to win it.

If you’re going from how teams did against us, Rohl got pumped 4-0 by us. For what it’s worth, neither are relevant, they both work well with what they’ve got and know their limitations.
