Will Still anyone?

He's certainly a data driven guy. Rasmus will love him

On a serious note, his story is quite interesting hes not the Football Manager geek some people made him out to be. It's not like @Matthew Le God suddenly becoming a manager 😉

Certainly gary o Neil would be an appointment to demonstrate how things could get even worse. Would be similar to the nathan jones appointment in that we would know he is doomed from day 1, will give us some terrible moments and then be off again in a couple of months.

It'll be whatever Liverpool or Man City sing, our support doesn't do original anymore they just nick other clubs songs off of social media and change one word (and in some cases even keep the northern accent for some bizarre reason)

One man no one has mentioned. Duncan  Ferguson. Only every lost once as manager in the premier league. Failed at Forest Green, did well at Inverness Caledonian. Available so won’t cost anything in compo. Hugely experienced player who will sort out the slackers in our squad. Get Big Dunc In

This is the hardest spot the difference I have ever played.

Interesting - https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/13209433/pedro-martins-exclusive-interview-edersons-game-changing-goalkeeping-and-raphinhas-anarchic-play

"Today, he cites Ederson's City as the model but is drawn to Liverpool's ability to win in different ways. "Sometimes with possession, sometimes in transition. I want to control the ball but sometimes the opponent is strong and our own game must change."

If we couldn't afford a replacement I think they would have kept Martin regardless of how toxic the fanbase became. What would be the point of paying of a manager if you couldn't afford anyone better.

Not sure about that. The word was SR hadn't been looking for a replacement because they intended to stick with RM. Obviously this all changed on Sunday out of the blue - I reckon Dragan was watching the Spurs game and, after the 4th goal went in, he was straight on the blower to Rasmus saying he wanted Martin gone.

Pretty much spot on that, even pre-game i was told that SR weren't intending to sack Martin for a number of reasons, the first being cost, the second being that they didn't think they could attract the right manager given the position we are in, and the third being they didn't think they had anyone capable enough as interim manager.

But that changed due to the first half performance against spurs and as @Turkish has said he was pretty much fired at half time. I'm absolutely sure had it only be 1-0 or 2-0 he'd still have a job.

It's also worth noting people in the club are very, very aware of how fucked we are at the moment and it's not a nice environment to be working in.

I'm happy with Rohl... never wanted Ralph sacked and at least Rohl will take us back in that direction and has a reasonable level of pedigree behind him (for a new manager) with Ralph, Bayern, and now at Wednesday. I hope it will help to a degree that he has some familiarity with the club (albeit SR have well and truly dismantled the academy, scouting, coaching, and playing setups since his time here 😃😆).

I just hope we can keep our hands on Dibling somehow. Maybe Lallana will give him some advice on making yourself at a lower level before stepping up. Unfortunatley the big issue there is that in the nonsensical world of PSR, clubs are encourage to trade their youth players like cattle... A model that Rasmus is all in on.

Roll With It to replace Rockin' Over The World for the post-match stadium music.

Status Quo is fine (music-wise, not in terms of the football club), but especially want Danny Rohl to be our manager now that you've suggested this

Danny Röhl issues a personal statement saying that he has read the speculation in the press and he understands it is causing worry but thatvnothing whatsoever would tempt him to even consider leaving our club and that he is going nowhere

I think we do need to push the boat out and find someone who we know can make a difference not speculate they might. Once again we are trying to be too clever or cheap again. The chat on here seems like we have all been slapped down so much lately we are talking ourselves into the mindset of he could do a job. I would like to understand why this time will be different from Jones, Selles and Martin. Moyes may not be certain success but at least you know he can do it. Someone like this even from overseas is what we need. Money talks. I’m sure we could get someone better than those suggested and available so far. I feel we are about to climb on the next rollercoaster.

If we were having this conversation 2+ months ago I’d have agreed, but the chances of getting anyone reputable in at this stage are so slim. SR should’ve pulled the trigger ages ago before we were so cut adrift and certain of relegation.

Exactly, anyone who takes the job now needs to be willing to manage in the championship next season as that is where we will be for this reason the Potters and Moyes of this world won't be coming we would have needed a reasonable shot at survivable to stand any hope of attract that type of manager.  Rohl will be managing in the Championship next season if he joins us or not so he has to look at next season and which club gives him the best opportunity to be successful and step up to the next level.

Good managerial prospect no doubt, but couldn't he have had a shave before turning up for his interview/first day of work?

Bet Lawrie was sufficiently suited and booted when he attended his interview at The Dell.

We won't keep Dibling for long and if the next manager isn't an improvement on RM then he needs to go somewhere with a decent manager. He deserves nothing less.

I don't know why but I've decided I really want Rohl and I really do not want Corboran or Kasper H (can't spell it or be arsed to google)

Because he did well as assistant here before, has worked with Bayern and the German national team, and worked a near miracle keeping Wednesday up. And Wednesday supporters don't want to lose him.  I would love to see him here which means either it won't happen or will be a disaster if it does! 😄😇

I'm not even sure I can be bothered to learn the new managers name although I suppose if Rohl gets it then no learning required.

Has to go down as one of the most uninspiring searches for a manager we've ever had - no manager worth their salt would probably want to come, and even if they did I don't think anyone could do much with this squad.  And if that wasn't bad enough, I've got no confidence in Sports Republic actually picking the best man anyway.

Merry fucking Christmas everyone.

Pity about the umlaut in Röhl making it closer to 'rerle' than 'roll' but hey, I'll go with it 😉

But he was only an assistant.  Look at that Maresca guy who was Pep’s assistant.  Went into management and has done fuck all apart from win the Championship with Leicester and get a fucking kids team into second in the league.

Like I said, assistant means jack shit.

Much better than 2022. They announced Ralph  had gone in the morning, and by about 10.30 it was announced that we were after Nathan Jones.

Think I prefer this one, at the moment. Just hope there is a swift outcome and it doesn't become a Rupert style "no ones ruled in, no ones ruled out" saga for six weeks.
