OneMrsWallace
I get up every morning and turn on Sky Sports in the hope the yellow banner will say 'Southampton part company with Russell Martin" - I think I may be in need of more in my life 😅 2
saintoaks
Painfully been watching clips of Sky Sports/MOTD, listening to the radio, on twatter reading expert opinions and everyone, and i mean everyone is saying the same thing that we are the easiest team to play against and if we continue (which we will) to play the way we are then we will be the most odds on team to go down in the history of the premier league. They all can't be wrong, 1 point from 21 is that acceptable ?

I’ve seen some right bullshitters over the years but Rasmus is the worst of the lot. Goztepe have done alright, he should stick to working on them. Saints and Valenciennes both need more specific football ops expertise who have a track record in those leagues.

BarberSaint
I see nothing great about Potter although it's clear he thinks he's great. He won't lower himself to us and I wouldn't want him to. Let's drag out the old favourite: Will Still.
gurru991
It's always going to be difficult to find a manager who is prepared to take on a relegation contender team. Leicester found that out when they were trying to replace Maresca. Saint Fan CaM
I think Potter would be a good choice if he could be enticed here, which is highly unlikely, especially as SFC will leave it too late to replace RM and our season will be be irretrievable by then. The future looks pretty miserable whichever way you cut it - I’m not particularly relishing the Championship again as it’ll likely be more of the same boring football with our best players gone.

Convict Colony
We are soon coming to the point in a season when we need to make a decision either way and be clear, these are the 3 options. 1. Either remove Martin soon if we dont improve and be able to attract someone while there are still plenty of games left. 2. Remove Martin in the next break and take a chance on some relatively low profile from europe looking to make a name but have less games to make an impact. 3. Stick with Martin and say so for the season to remove the noise and just get on with it. Edited October 11 by Convict Colony

Convict Colony
Quite like the look of this Ole Werner at Werder, seems like he likes to draw the press but the difference v martin is that the defenders look for a ball straight to the forwards for the midfielders to pick up and transition quickly. https://totalfootballanalysis.com/head-coach-analysis/ole-werner-werder-bremen-202425-tactical-analysis-tactics
