Painfully been watching clips of Sky Sports/MOTD, listening to the radio, on twatter reading expert opinions and everyone, and i mean everyone is saying the same thing that we are the easiest team to play against and if we continue (which we will) to play the way we are then we will be the most odds on team to go down in the history of the premier league. They all can't be wrong, 1 point from 21 is that acceptable ?

They are all wrong and Russell is the only person who is right. Surely you have worked that out by now. We are in the presence of greatness mate 😏

If reports are true some on the Board share those views, but Ankersen is the one that wants to continue with RM.

Well let's all bow down to the superior football knowledge of Rasmus who has on his CV the appointment of the one and only Nathan fucking Jones. If he says we should stick with Russ who are we mere mortals to question one of such wisdom and insight - he can make a huge pile of bullshit materialise from thin air, that's how brilliant he is.

I’ve seen some right bullshitters over the years but Rasmus is the worst of the lot. Goztepe have done alright, he should stick to working on them. Saints and Valenciennes both need more specific football ops expertise who have a track record in those leagues.

The problem is Dragan is the only one who can realistically get rid of him. And he (Dragan) seems to still be unable to recognise that Rasmus is a complete charlatan and to see through his bullshit.

We’d probably end up with Schumacher or Rooney.

Greatness only in terms of Lucy’s big tits, and I don’t count Russ in that equation!

I see nothing great about Potter although it's clear he thinks he's great.  He won't lower himself to us and I wouldn't want him to.  Let's drag out the old favourite: Will Still.

It's  always going to be difficult to find a manager who is prepared to take on a relegation contender team. Leicester found that out when they were trying to replace Maresca. My choice would be Michael Carrick but would he leave Middlesborough ?

I think Potter would be a good choice if he could be enticed here, which is highly unlikely, especially as SFC will leave it too late to replace RM and our season will be be irretrievable by then. The future looks pretty miserable whichever way you cut it - I’m not particularly relishing the Championship again as it’ll likely be more of the same boring football with our best players gone.

Okay you're joking about failing, but it does seem he manages to fall out with the hierarchy at clubs after a year or so. Add Mainz and Dortmund to the list where he's left under a cloud.

Pretty sure he was the best thing since sliced bread this time last month.

Though tbf I personally find sliced bread somewhat overrated.

Having been there I think most people would, given the choice.

You’re overlooking a few things: he doesn’t have to live in Middlesbrough, he’s a Geordie, and his family are up there.

Think it might be harder to prise him away from there than people might think.

We are soon coming to the point in a season when we need to make a decision either way and be clear, these are the 3 options.

1. Either remove Martin soon if we dont improve and be able to attract someone while there are still plenty of games left.

2. Remove Martin in the next break and take a chance on some relatively low profile from europe looking to make a name but have less games to make an impact.

3. Stick with Martin and say so for the season to remove the noise and just get on with it.

Option 3 depends on the fans putting up with him staying for the season and I don't believe the majority will.

Option 2 just looks like indecision.  Option 3 is relegation.

Schumacher, yes we like a Stoke reject.

Given the option of those two I'd rather stick with Martin (and the inevitable relegation).

Just remember failure somewhere else - it's a good thing.

the longer we wait, the harder it will be to attract a quality manager.  Who in their right might would want the task of keeping a team up with half the season gone and 12 to 15 points off 17th place.

He was linked previously, reports saying Rasmus liked him but he hadn't long been at Middlesbrough and wouldn't consider a move.

Looking at him he seems ideally suited to Rasmus:

Young manager✔️

Beard✔️

Fashionable name from playing days✔️

Achieved nothing of note in his managerial career  ✔️

Looks a trendy fucker on the touchline ✔️

bound to crop up if we are looking for a manager again as he seems to fit on the Rasmus Spectrum.

He's been a relative success at Middlesbrough, remember Rasmus likes managers who have failed.
