This has been pretty depressing stuff since the penalty

Ignoring the league cup, we have so far scored two goals in six games, if you include the two spanish games. We look toothless up front  ( haven’t had a shot since the penalty) and likely to concede at least one or two every match, so it’s looking pretty bleak. Not sure there is much more Martin can do as the side was set up as most people wanted but a number of the players just aren’t good enough

'tator 14 touches in opponent pen area in the first half. 2 in the second. Worse possession. Worse shots and shots on target by a far bit.

Really not capable of getting back into a game. Which, combined with us setting up to always concede at least one, is not a good sign.

Like AA, Martin will no doubt pint out that we have to be clinical with the chances we get.

I quite like Russ and Saints we’re always in for a hiding this season and likely relegation candidates but after 4 straight losses you have to start thinking about how long the board will tolerate him. Yes Burnley and Luton stood by their managers last season but I don’t think that will happen with us this season. A few more bad results and he’ll be gone.

Luckily for him we have Everton, Ipswich and Bournemouth next. Anything less than 6 points and he’s in trouble.

Saints get into a good attacking area outside the Utd penalty area and then the ball goes back and back and back until it's given away with Utd having a shot on goal. That's hopeless.

Well, at least that is Stephens out for the next 3 games......

Maybe if we appeal the decision, and ask nicely, they’ll increase it to 10 games.

Normally when a team goes down to ten you see them retreat into a defensive shape to deal with an onslaught from the other team.

But Utd seem happy to just let us have the ball and knock it around, safe in the knowledge we won't do anything constructive with it.

We need a much better mentality. We can't be a team that concedes and then just quits, because that's what it looks like. We haven't shown an ounce of fight, spirit, or belief since the penalty miss.

Can imagine what the post match interview will be like. Will be no mention of the inept performance, Martin will just focus on how unlucky Stephens was to be sent off.

If he watches the replay of the tackle, he'll have no complaints.

Sugawara and Dibling our best today.  Les Ugo and Downes both good.

If that were STephens and not THB, he would be getting pelters.  Terrible defending playing him on like that.  This side has no fight and no attacking threat.

40 minutes of "if we play like that for the rest of the season we'll be fine"

Concede on half time. Drab second half. Chaotic substitions. Dibling sparkles for 10 minutes.

Lose 0-3.

62% possession, so really a win if you think about it.

An evening of "how dare anyone we think we should sack the manager just because we lost to the richest biggest club in the world, you bedwetters are a disgrace" on this forum.

Nailed it.
