Ponty Posted 29 January, 2009 Share Posted 29 January, 2009 I'm not sure it would be possible for anyone to take that personally.
Alain Perrin Posted 29 January, 2009 Share Posted 29 January, 2009 FWIW, I have an envelope on my desk with a cheque that I have just written for £2m. I will deposit it with the club when LC deposits his money. Of course if you cash it, it will bounce - but I'd like everyone to know that I offered. An "offer" of money is like the offer of a ****job from Angelina Jolie, until it happens she is just being a tease.
ottery st mary Posted 29 January, 2009 Share Posted 29 January, 2009 I'm not sure it would be possible for anyone to take that personally. Well, Pontey, I would hate to think that poster HOOSonside or any of his friends, whoever they maybe, took what I say , personally. Most are probably never going to read this site and if they were to be briefed...well, like me I am sure they will brush the mud, snow or heather from their clothing and get on with it. Come to think of it, I hope you do not take what I say, personally.. If you did, I would be having sleepless nights.
Alain Perrin Posted 29 January, 2009 Share Posted 29 January, 2009 Also FWIW I think we should keep fans as far away from the running of the board of Saints as possible. Passion clouds the clear logical thinking that is needed to run a multi-million pound business (like it or not, it is one). I think we should have fan representation (I think Leon would have the credentials for that), but fan control is a different matter all together. Remember what happened the last time "we got our club back"....
Guan 2.0 Posted 29 January, 2009 Share Posted 29 January, 2009 If I was to be really picky then I'd say Crouch is governed a bit too much by the heart and not enough by the head. Agreed, he always reminded me of George Bush in that sense. All things considered he'll be a vast improvement on the current regime as long as he had some good advisors and a well balanced board Agreed again, but I don't think he has the nous to pick such people, and would be surrounded by Self serving 'Cheney' Types. Actually, I am just a saints fan, (ex service too) - the name Hoozonside10 is nothing to do with Lee Hoos, it's simply a reference to David Colemans line when Bobby Stokes scored in '76. Isn't it bizarre how we see things which were never there... I read this site every day, I'm usually one of the 'quiet' ones who lurk in the background - to be honest I didn't understand half of what you said, but I certainly didn't take it personally! docker-p Posted 29 January, 2009 Share Posted 29 January, 2009 Crouch is a fan, and unlike Lowe, is a self made millionaire, so a pretty good businessman as well. He managed to get the right man in to manage us last time before Lowe came back with another of his mad schemes. For what it's worth, Leon Crouch has my backing. ottery st mary Posted 29 January, 2009 Share Posted 29 January, 2009 Which was my point in the first place So you don't understand my little joke about Ruperts trip to Scotland ie Heather....Some Luvvies allegedly went on trip for Ruperts Birthday bash... Likewise in the snow on the Alps...more Luvvies allegedly holding Rupert up. Down on the farm mud more Luvvies on the shoot......No forget it Hoosonside probably didn't leave his office and go on any of these trips.... Probably sour grapes on my part as Rupert does not invite me to any of his gatherings...What about you Pontey?

There are far too many ....... and not enough words for me to string some of your posts together. 2. I've never even spoken to Lowe, let alone met him. With the mess we are supposed to be in, I would imagine a lot of financial decisions would need vetting by our creditors anyway. They would surely veto any spending that they felt pushed us closer to the edge. Edited 29 January, 2009 by SFC Forever
