Apparently it's been 20 years today since Beattie did this v Chelsea.

Got me thinking, have any other teams in the PL ever scored with their very first touch of the game?

Easy to forget just how good Beattie was when he played for us, decent off both feet and strong in the air wouldn't mind us signing a younger version.

J-Rod did something very similar at that exact same ground, scored after about 14 seconds. About 2013ish

We kicked off and gave it to Chelsea a few passes later and still managed to score in 13 seconds.
