Assume we'll see some early rotation from Russ as there's at least 4 players here that need to go straight into the starting 11 on Saturday....

(Yes, it's only against Cardiff's 2nd team, but... )

Big Lesley hasn't really stood out yet

And for good reason IMO... I've been watching him... He does the simple things really well and is always looking to thread a ball forwards between the lines. Most good players in this position tend to go relatively unnoticed... It tends to be when they cock up they get noticed more...

A bit from column A, a bit from column B for me Clive.

Also need to remember that we’re playing against Cardiff reserves here.

Sure, but you can only play what’s in front of you and fuck it, we’ve scored goals. I’ll take it.

Not much from Archer bar the back heel but everyone else on the pitch has been pretty good. Fernandes clearly the stand out and you can tell Taylor is full of experience.

Me stream has got us 3-0 up against Tranmere. Can’t wait for the second half!

Please make this the A team RM.

Maybe some of these players but all 11? We'd be relegated by Xmas if we started this lot every week.

Decent enough first half, let's not forget the standard of the opposition though, need this to end in a comfortable away win.

We better not loan out SAA and Dibling. Both showing they have roles to play this season even from the bench.

How good is the Cardiff team? Are they full-ish strength or made quite a few changes too?

Only 1 of their starting 11 played against Swansea at the weekend

Lots of changes, I think...!

They’ve had a good half against a somewhat dubious (currently bottom) Championship team, so let’s not get carried away. Dibling I’d keep, SAA could probably do with a season against this level of opposition.

Can't really find too much to moan about in that half. Build up to their goal was a clear offside but good strike. Some of our passing around our own penalty area gives me the willies but no problems so far.

Indeed. Big Les, Fernandes, Dibbling  looking like first team starters to me. (In for Stephens, Aribo, Smallbone) with Amo being first attacking replacement off the bench (ahead of Edozie)

Well, I feared a Gillingham and it’s definitely not that.

I like that our nippers seem quite fearless. They’ve made their share of mistakes but it’s been largely positive, looking to pass and get forward quickly and effectively.

Not particularly expecting any of these to break the first team immediately. But a decent showing at least that our reserves give a little bit more of a shit than their counterparts did this time last year.
