If Bella-Kotchap stays... he should be above Stephens, Wood and Edwards in the pecking order.

Looked very composed today and is a very good player.

Agreed. He looked a class above. I say keep him and play him.

I’m not saying you’ll be the only one but I’d imagine you’re in a tiny minority.

I’m with the tiny majority. I know it’s a lesser opposition but his control of a football is still sexual chocolate

Add ABK being back out there for us to the positives. Playing for a move perhaps, but he turned up away to Cardiff and did well.

He made it look easy - The difference in quality compared to Wood was enormous.

Agree. We always knew there’s a player there if he can sort his attitude out.

Sad to say but I think Edozie needs a loan to league one or champ where he can play every week. Absolutely zero end product again. Hope we can bring in an attacking midfielder and another striker.

Positives - Fernandes, Ugochukwu, Dibling, SAA, Archer, Lallana.

Negatives - Lumley, Wood, Edozie, Edwards.

Agree. SAA clearly offers far more than Edozie who could do with a loan spell in the Championship.

If ABK's head is in the right place, he's our best central defender.

Edwards had a really tricky night, poor lad. So did Lesley, at times.

Archer was sharp when needed, really promising.

Dibling was everywhere, real desire and tenacity... he must be knackered. Lovely through ball to Archer at the end.

A mad game, absolutely mad. A silly own goal and a wonder goal make the scoreline seem a bit nicer for Cardiff, really.

We didn't really pull away until the end. Cardiff had some good opportunities, while we tried to find that final pass.

Lots of lovely goals in the game. Bree's was superb. He had a rusty game, with some good moments.

Archer looked lively, getting two. Lallana put in some excellent direct passes from deep to him. Dibling would deliver passes from runs past their defence. Good to see some variation.

Lallana also very vocal throughout, leading the team.

Looks as though we're going to have some more mileage about Edozie's final ball. But his all round game is getting better. It's not his primary job, but his tracking back was really good. And he was looking to try different options again going forward.

Surprised to see ABK appear. Not seemingly keen on too much crisp passing across the back. But excellent in passes into the midfield. We got mileage from more than one of those.

Some rusty moments, a bit of inexperience and lots of development. Mainly, nice to just be through.

Looked very composed today and is a very good player. Obviously other hurdles to navigate as well for him to be integrated back into the squad.

You don't get capped at International level for Germany if you haven't got something about you

The right result in the end against a young Cardiff reserve side. Second half was rubbish though until the end.

Dibling looks good. Fernandes too. Archer showing he can finish.

That will do.

He should have been a regular last season. Not sure about the tiss comparisons because he will never be surpassed but be happy with a happy medium not at Matt's level but above grealish eventually. He's a class player already

Dibling is an absolute gem. Has to be first man on the team sheet. Shortly followed by Downes, Fernandes and big Les.

Agree, but would be surprised if Russ starts him on Saturday given he ran himself into the ground this evening...

MOTM for me was Rubin Colwill.  Looks like a flipping great player in the making.

He was superb. We should be putting in a cheeky bid because he is going to be some player. What a goal even though it should not have counted because their left winger was about 3 yards offside when he received the ball.

Fernandes is a player. Needs to be an automatic starter ahead of Aribo or Smallbone. Dibling is a serious, serious talent with that air of arrogance that every great player has. ABK looked a class above when he came on too. Pleased for Archer, couple of great finishes. Lallana was fantastic.

Overall, a pretty decent night all things considered.
