east-stand-nic Posted February 2 Posted February 2 Being that players like to win and win titles etc., wouldn't you think a lot of them would like to stay and have a really big push for the title and make a name for themselves? I would. The alternative is, most of them will only get signed up by a bottom half team where they could end up in a relegation battle again. I would rather stay a season, try and win a league title, feel great and come back as winners.

Saints to interested clubs: 🖕 Two positions we probably don't need to worry about next season are wing/full back. Assuming we only lose KWP and Taylor we'd still have Bree, Sugawara, Wellington and Manning alongside any youngsters. Oh, and Larios. 1
Badger Posted February 2 Posted February 2 I’ll reserve judgment on Wellington until he’s been tested playing against better opposition. In a months time perhaps we can claim our scouts have signed a gem, or be saying he’s off to Goztepe in the summer. 1
suewhistle Posted February 2 Posted February 2 That may be wise, but he's certainly got some pace, which is always a good foundation.

Like the sentiment, but when you've got an agent making a fortune on a move and a player who could be offered double to move, the temptation is go to the crappy club. Plus our owners are in to the trading game, so will encourage profitable moves.
