Wolves playing the Saints game of ever decreasing circles playing out from the back. I really can’t see how the rewards with this system outweigh the risks….

Unless you’re City or Arsenal and have the top players to play the system. Everyone else are copycat losers at it…

It's made football much less entertaining.

Featured Ryan Seager Vs Jake Hesketh interestingly.

Seager did nothing. In fact Havant were very poor on the day.

Hesketh is so good at that level. His touch and technique is way above most other players in the league. I really enjoy watching him play.

MLT was there today, stopped and chatted to everyone who wanted to and had photos taken even with some Havant fans.

Don't always like him as a pundit but Gary Neville talking a lot of sense in criticising lower half teams who continually try to play out from the back. He doesn't get it nor do many of us.

As the newspaper I read said: [Wolves] "They pass the ball around at the back for 30 seconds or so, prompting Gary Neville to go on a rant about their lack of urgency." Sounds familiar..

Is he happy at that level or do you think he might go up a few levels? I can't recall his medical/injury situation and his employment, but it does seem a bit of a waste.

Gary Neville has pretty much summed up everything that is wrong with how football is played currently. Our manager exacerbates this by never appearing to deviate from this possession style and that if it doesn’t work to just continue with but to try harder. I for one am fed up with it.

He re-signed for them this season so must be happy. He got a bad injury at Saints on his first start at Burnley so maybe that restricts his fitness a bit.

Someone like Salisbury might come in for him at some point I guess.

Brighton's high line was suicidal v Chelsea. Shades of Hassenhutl v Spurs.

It was nuts. When I saw Palmer had scored four goals in 19 minutes, I didn't realise he'd also hit the post and had one disallowed for a tight offside. Not to mention the other one they had disallowed for (I think) Jackson. That line would work if you were defending against Grant Holt and Matt Le Tissier but against Chelsea's attack it was just weird.

I saw a clip of the Wolves game on SSN this morning that Gary Neville was referring to, it was bloody awful and exactly like watching Saints. There were 5 minutes left of the game and wolves spent a minute just passing it between the defence and GK.

Every average club is trying to play like Man City but without the quality to do so and it’s really killing the enjoyment of watching a game.

Some poor finishing by Ipswich though. Clarke should have scored that header, and Delap should have finished that 1-on-1. Two very good saves by Martinez in that half, although he should have stopped the goal.

Can see someone getting sent off. Think Villa will win 1-3.
