Only disappointment is Obafemi didn’t do an Adebayor style celebration after running length of pitch

Beat celebration against them apart from Beattie’s in the actual derby was Wayne Bridge at Stamford Bridge. Ran the length of their section gloating.

Lots of sad little blue faces on camera just before the final whistle goes.

’Pompey stay rooted to the bottom of the league. Another disappointing night for the newly promoted side’.

At least it’s not just us - and no parachute payments for them.

Hoddle's just said Galatasaray have had 28 shots at the Spurs' goal so far, 20 of which have come from Spurs players giving the ball away.

English teams are being found out in Europe this year with their tippy tappy playing out from the back. It no longer works, not even for the top teams. They're just gifting goals to the opposition. Surely, it's time to stop it. Hopefully, our manager takes note.

Millwall fans didn’t seem very excited about their own light show 😢

It's just someone flicking the floodlights on and off loads of times. Seems a bit outdated really, considering I remember being genuinely impressed by laser shows in the 90s.

I like the comments though:

Quote

I don't know , they are always singing no one lights us , we don't care and then when someone does light them they get upset with that as well

Having said that, they beat Leeds that evening so it must have helped. Whatever gets everyone riled up.

Brighton leading City 2-1. Fair play to them. Kind of takes the shine off our wondrous 1-0 defeat given they're on track to lose 4 on the trot now. I hope we don't bring out our embarrassing "Pride of the South" banner next matchday.

They need to have those bad windows first.

I'm pretty sure they were meant to have happened by now. As our recruitment has shown, it's impossible to replace good players when they're sold, and decline is inevitable.

Tottenham 0-2 Ipswich

Liam Delap is joint seventh in the Premier League Golden Boot chase after his sixth goal of the season.

:sulk:

It's the mistake we make year after year. Not willing to pay the money for a decent striker.

Perhaps Delap and other decent No9s didn't fall for Martin's vision where strikers hardly ever see the ball.

To be fair we tried really hard to get him when Joe Shields was here.

Did we actually bid last summer?

Saints …….taking crapness to a new level across all 4 divisions..…

Least amount of wins -

Least amount of points -

Least amount of goals -

Most passes needed to create a chance -

Let's not get sidelined with minor, insignificant details. Look at the big picture.

Possession stats? Hmmm? 😏

Story I read on the BBC was both Ipswich and us agreed a £20m fee with Man City but Ipswich offered him a higher salary.

Apparently we had agreed a fee for him which was £20m and he chose a higher salary at Ipswich.  £20m for a bang average championship striker seemed worse business than £10m for someone who got goals in SHU team last season.  But it isnt panning out that way at the moment unfortunately for us!! To be fair to BBD, he has been asked to hug the left touch line for most of his minutes.

Janny B was taken off at HT with Poland holding Spain 0-0, Spain went on to score 5 in the second half. Make of that what you will.

Good to see Stu Armstrong get on the pitch for Scotland, if only to run the clock down in injury time

Ah, but it’s the way we’ve reached a new level of crapness that counts.

Saints fans are so entitled expecting their team to be able to compete with big clubs like Ipswich and Bournemouth.

Since the supporter who used to post stuff like that has left and said he's not going to support Saints any more, I thought I'd post that on his behalf. Sometimes I'm just too kind.

Has he been asked to play on the left like that, or is it his preference? I read somewhere he thought that was his best position. Unfortunately RM does seem to allow players to pick where they want to play (AA at CF last season at Blackburn despite scoring well from wide right).
