Fuck me. Is this what football has become? The worst result of the season is beating your bitter city rivals, in a game when you're the underdog, in the FA Cup Final?

I know football is about progress and Utd don't want to be where they are, but it's also about moments. That win will stay in the mind longer of those fans than having an improved season and finishing 3rd or 4th in the league.

Sadly that is what football has become. Winning the FA cup would mean everything to us. But United had two decades of winning everything and the United fans I know couldn't really care less about that win

Wolves playing the Saints game of ever decreasing circles playing out from the back. I really can’t see how the rewards with this system outweigh the risks….

Unless you’re City or Arsenal and have the top players to play the system. Everyone else are copycat losers at it…

Prime example of why it is more risk than reward….

Huddersfield beautifully demonstrating why it is dumb, as tippy tappy Bolton gift them a goal.

Maybe you don't know as many Man U fans as I do.

What worries me is that Ipswich and Leicester look poor, some good spells, but ultimately they are lacking quality - but they still manage to look much more competitive than us. Not sure where that leaves us really.

Ipswich remind me of Luton from last season. As it stands, we look like Sheffield United - but worse. (I guess that's to be expected when we sign their strike force)

I honestly thought they were going to win tonight. They have had a very tough start and this on paper was probably their ‘easiest’ game. But it seems they like to play against teams that play football, and do not like it up them! Thank god we are not having to play them.

Not even going to play them next season at this rate.

Probably not. They haven't won any of their 9 games this season and are odds on favourites to be relegated.

Poor as we are this season, they are a lot worse, so let's hope we get them in the FA Cup.

Well we seem to have been matching their score recently…

Well, they seem to like matching their womens' team's results, did Saturday and both are getting done 6-1 tonight.

But maybe we shouldn't laugh too loud with Arsenal and Man City as our next two aways.

The taters said Bayern keeper play most of their games 40yards out - I uttered to Mrs JBS “just win it and ping it”

Exactly what Duran did - just a bit closer great goal

Games against the likes of Bayern, City and Liverpool you should just have your whole team practicing shooting from the half way line. Any time you pick the ball up in a bit of space, ask the question.

Carlo Ancelotti, Pep Guardiola and then Unai Emery are the worlds best football coaches. Emery has completely transformed that club. Whether they can sustain their success long term, beyond the Emery years, remains to be seen but they've had a remarkable couple of years.

Yep.

He inherited a bit of a shit-show too.

I've been thinking for over a year now that it's only a matter of time before one of the basket-case big 6 clubs swoops in for him. Why are Aston Villa allowed to have nice things?

Because it’s just ‘their turn’ like it was with Brighton, Wolves, Leicester and at one point Saints. I remember our game at Villa Park in 2016, their fans had had enough and were chucking paper planes on the pitch left, right and centre. If Long knew how to finish, we’d have won about 7-1. Nobody wanted to be Villa then, nobody wants to be Wolves today and in two years, nobody will want to be Brighton.

It's a scientific fact that Emery can only succeed at football clubs with the word "villa" in their name. Everywhere else not so great.

Just watched Motd European matches , Villa did well but I still dislike their goalkeeper 😄Kane nearly had 2 goals !

Meanwhile Liverpool had 3 Saints moments ie twatting about in their own penalty area in the first half but got away with it .
