If Everton beat Wolves we could be 7 points from safety by this time tomorrow. That would be quite an incredible feat after 14 games.

I prefer nicely trimmed beards, keeping the ball for the sake of it, gifting the opposition easy goals and players playing out of position. That's progressive brave football!

Didn't watch it but I see 31 "goal attempts" for West Ham today even though they lost.

In the entire month of November Saints have managed 36 "goal attempts" in total across the four matches we played.

Obviously we are much more brave though.

Yeah other teams in this league have better attacks than us.

6 of Leicester's 8 shots were clear cut chances.

Yep, West Ham were a mess.

I have already stopped caring about other results as we are so down. Although would be hilarious if Everton went with us although I have lived in hope every season and never happens however shite they look.

Not really. But caring whether Ipswich beat Palace or not or WHU lose to Leicester or not is irrelevant.

Other clubs are all not going to lose their way to our survival.

We need maybe 29 more points from the 25 games left. If we get that we will stay up.

We won't.

Was a weird game, if West Ham could finish they'd have been out of sight by HT. Manager looks beaten, fans want him gone

I feel invested in these games as have an interest on who will come down with us, hard to call at the moment, Ipswich and Wolves most likely?

Wolves are a decent side, they just had a horror run of early fixtures. Bit inconsistent but I don’t think they’ll be in too much trouble, they’ll beat enough of the teams around the bottom 6

Yeah, well we have all that in spades, don’t we.  Leicester have shown some bravery in replacing Managers, and have an immediate return on that brave decision.  Meanwhile our lot sit on their hands.  Interesting to note Van Nistlerooy’s comments after the Hammers game.  “I am not a romantic manager who will put style in front of results”!

Russell is truly the laughing stock of the Premier League. A lot of clubs’ fans hate him in the Championship as well because how he behaved at Swansea games.

Was at lunch with a Millwall fan today, a friend I hadn't seen for years... First thing he said to me: "Russell Martin is a prick. I detest him with a passion". I struggled to build a counter-argument...!

Nathan Jones is disliked at that level but Russell Martin is genuinely despised.

Was chatting about a recruitment gap a couple of work colleagues had today, WBA and Sunderland fans, and joked that Martin might be available soon. ‘Fuck off, wouldn’t employ him if he paid us’ and cited several incidents of provocation to home fans when Swansea played away. Swansea fans on here mentioned about that not being one of his positive traits either.

Wish his teams had a hint of that on the pitch! OK if you win to be an arse but that’s another Achilles Heel for him.

Looks like the manager roundabout is going to start soon ... this guy not going down well .......

TBH I'd have him at Saints, and O'Neil and Potter and Moyes and Cooper and just about anyone else right now ...

On the subject of Spurs I’ve just seen that our home game with them next Sunday is a 7pm kick off. What an absolute awful time for a game of football, what’s the thinking behind that?

Remember thinking Forest could be a relegation rival. Light years ahead of us. Although we have no rivals whatsoever, we standalone

Have to say I do enjoy the continued meltdown at Old Trafford with the latest “messiah” they’ve bought in.

Until they sell the entire playing squad at that club and start all over again it’s gonna be rinse and repeat each season….hopefully!!

All other managers/coaches requested it so they can be home and ready to learn from Rustie.

Arsenal have 71% possession, Fulham pick up the ball, send Raul Jimenez through, scores, 1-0. Criminal in the eyes of Russell Martin, but actually quite effective.
