He should never have got a new contract, he was 3rd choice for most of last season. It is neglect from the club to not sign a goalkeeper after the shocker of a preseason he had. That pass made him £15,000...

Just now, SNSUN said: Odd with Stephens on a booking and Suga been excellent. Knick perhaps? KWP to right back, Stephens left back? Hopefully Edozie can have a blinder... Sugawara being the one to come off baffles me. Should have been Stephens, but of course he's one of Martins beardy banter boys. 1

Sheaf Saint Posted 17 August, 2024 Posted 17 August, 2024 So this co-commentator doesn't like play-acting when it works against Newcastle, but he recommends they should time-waste as much as possible now to hold on to this lead. Who is this prick? 3
trousers Posted 17 August, 2024 Posted 17 August, 2024 (edited) FFS.... should be 1-1... Come back Ché, all is forgiven... Edited 17 August, 2024 by trousers

Saint_clark Posted 17 August, 2024 Posted 17 August, 2024 Eastleigh fight back from 2-0 down to equalise, go on Kelvin.

That's impressive even by our fans Karenish standards. Don't think people are turning on him. Just pointing out that a goalkeeper shouldn't be made to feel obliged to try to play out from the back when cornered. RM's blind insistence that we do this leads to bad decisions and it has cost us a pathetic goal today when we should have been going in level at half time and confident of getting at least one point if not three. Now it'll be very tough for us. 4
Saint Matty 76 Posted 17 August, 2024 Posted 17 August, 2024 Great start to the half. Get one in the next 10-15 minutes and we can go on and win here.

obelisk Posted 17 August, 2024 Posted 17 August, 2024 Well at least Saints have decided to actually try and score against the 10 men. How it's not already 1-1 I don't know.

OttawaSaint Posted 17 August, 2024 Posted 17 August, 2024 Really encouraged by our all round play but: 1. AM needs to be replaced. 2. We look rather snakebitten in front of goal.

People seem to have been spooked because in a few practice matches he practiced doing a few things he's not very good at and found he's not very good at them which is what practice matches are for, I thought. So he won't do them in a league game, I hope. Aged like milk this. 3

It was just horrifically casual from Macca when he had time and space to do much better with it. It's as if he just switched off when the ball came to him. 2
Saint_clark Posted 17 August, 2024 Posted 17 August, 2024 Interesting that he's turned to Edozie to change this game after not trusting him at all for most of last season. 1
obelisk Posted 17 August, 2024 Posted 17 August, 2024 Joelinton stamps on Bedders from a great height.

Saint Fan CaM Posted 17 August, 2024 Posted 17 August, 2024 Linton is doing everything he can to injure Bednarek - the Ref really needs to watch carefully…don’t think VAR gives a toss.
Sheaf Saint Posted 17 August, 2024 Posted 17 August, 2024 Joelinton really is a cock isn't he. That looked deliberate, after their handbags earlier.

RM has shown time and again that he doesn’t like flair players, and then turns to one…. He did counter it by leaving Stephens on (to play out of position) and taking off our best player of the first half…

The issue for me is that he clearly had nowhere to go and rather than hoof it the first thought which has been repeated into his brain again and again is pass it don't lump it - hence he made the wrong option. 1

Saint Matty 76 Posted 17 August, 2024 Posted 17 August, 2024 30 minutes of slow chance creation, missed efforts and them making it 2-0 on the counter? The need for a goalkeeper and creative midfielder even more obvious at least.
