I suspect the other tickets were bought on your friend/family’s accounts.  If you/they each login to the Saints app on their account you will see their ticket.  Then you can if you wish transfer this ticket to your account so that you can see them all in one place.  This is what I did.

But there should be an email too and he hasn’t got either.

I believe that if there is an email associated with the other users then they will get them sent to their own app. My son does not have an email address setup so both tickets have appeared in my app. This gives me more flexibility as he will miss games when at Uni.

Got this reply when contacting the ticket office about the non appearance of my Forest season ticket

>Thank you for your e-mail.

We will endeavour to reply at our earliest chance, but we cannot guarantee that you will receive a reply due to the high volume of emails we are receiving currently.

Southampton FC Ticket Office<

So despite having spent a large amount of money on a season ticket I can't be certain they will reply!

I emailed them two weeks ago and not had a reply, doesn't give you much confidence in them

The Saints App / Saints Tickets / Online My saints Account; non seem to synchronise. I have tried deleting and re-installing, Saints App Help do not respond. Tickets do not appear in Saints Ticket........ I would guess others have a similar problem and first home match is going to be interesting 🙄

Give them the ticket office a call. I did on Tuesday. There seems to be a glitch where the system thinks people have opted not to get the email saying their ticket is ready. Within a minute of my call I had the ticket

There is still an option ( for members certainly) to still receive there tickets in the post if you don't fancy buggering around with digital tickets.

I don't understand what the problem was with having the ability to choose between PDF tickets or physical tickets. All this faffing about and I expect there is still a supplementary admin fee whenever ticket purchases are made.

The main reason will be that they want oversight of who people are sharing their season tickets with and to try and discourage touting.

But it does nothing to stop touting. There was an article in The Times a few weeks ago explaining how the touts get round this system.

Yeah I know that's why I said try. It's definitely their intention but touts will always be a step ahead.

It's about oversight too. Clubs want to know who's attending each game and how many people are passing on etc

They do, but they should concentrate on the pitchside activities.

I just hope people aren't going to moan about it all season when they had the option of getting a physical ticket if they wanted one.

Have the individual league match tickets been released onto the app yet?

I'm in Soton - rare nowadays - when the Man U match is happening, so bought a ticket. I have an email receipt, but no ticket attached, and there are no tickets in my account on the app that I can find.

So I can't go to the first home game and want to transfer my ticket to my son. I understand I can just email it to him, BUT my ticket is for an over 65 and he of course is under 65. Anyone know what I'm supposed to do?

I think you'll find that tickets only get sent to the App a set number of days before each match.

The Lazio and Getafe tickets are being sent out earlier than "future normal" in order to identify teething problems.

Customers are entitled to moan at any time if they're not getting the service they expect, especially if the anticipated* problems arise.

I got my physical ticket a couple of weeks ago.  I had rung the ticket office and the young lady said there would be a £10 charge and that someone would ring me to 'vet' me but after waiting over a week I called in to the ticket office down at the ground.

The helpful assistant there printed one off for me within a minute. There was no charge. I mentioned that I had phoned earlier and he said that they had all been extremely busy.

*anticipated by me

Customers who moan about a problem to which there is a very simple solution (as you've proved there is), are idiots.

If people are that opposed to digital tickets, go and get a physical one, problem solved.

NO NO NO

Customers are never idiots. The first rule of business. The customer is always right, even if they’re wrong.

I take it you’ve never had to rely on customers for your livelihood. There must be a reason that you hate that line. Possibly because you hate customers?

Going back to your earlier post, my experience did not prove that there was a simple solution. Quite the opposite.

How? You were unwilling to use the new digital method, so you've gone and got yourself a physical ticket like normal, seems pretty simple to me. Or are you saying it wasn't because you had to make two calls to the ticket office and maybe wait on hold for a little bit?

Well yes and no. Perhaps not worded particularly well by me.

If people have been using digital tickets for a while and prefer it that way but then system doesn't work then yes then they're entitled to moan.

But I'm seeing lots of comments from various places saying things like "why did I have to download this shitty app, it's so awkward" when everybody had a choice to get a card if they wanted one.

If you'd have preferred a plastic card and had the option of getting one then don't spend all season moaning about how terrible is for your decision to not take that option.

A much more succinct way of putting it than I did!

Unwilling, or unable.

You really don’t have a clue about customer relations. The option of a physical ticket should have been made available at the point of purchasing a ticket. Anyone wanting to spend several hundred pounds should have their experience made as simple and efficient as possible. They should not be made to jump through hoops in order to get what should be readily available.

You obviously didn’t read completely, or maybe didn’t understand, what I wrote. My process involved a phone call and a hold of more than ‘a little bit’ after which nothing happened for two weeks despite the promise of being contacted, followed by a visit to the stadium office in order in order to be served properly.

When you say it ‘seems pretty simple to me’ perhaps it’s because you yourself are pretty simple.

Burn 😂 Despite being "Simple", I've managed to get my Lazio ticket thought the app without issue, crazy. Yes unwilling, from what you've posted previously I'd expect you to be pretty able of accessing a simple ticket app, so it must be the principle of wanting a physical ticket, which for the record I understand. I like having physical tickets, for both football and gigs.

But for the vast majority of the fan base, I would expect the digital method is the most "simple and efficient" way of doing it, however for the more traditional folk like yourself and others, the option is there to get a physical one. Maybe they could of added it as an option at point of sale, sure, but the option is there for you regardless and you may have just had bad luck in having to go down to the ticket office to get yours, I'm sure I've seen l getting this with a phone call.

The fact is there is an option for all, your insistence with complaining about this despite that, and the fact you have already got your way, is just weird.

You do you though.

Unlike a lot of people, this not ‘all about me’. I have empathy for others. People less able than myself, people with disabilities of various kinds. For the elderly with arthritic fingers and failing eyesight on a cold day operating a modern smartphone is not the easiest of activities. That’s if they even have a smartphone and an email account.

Sure the theoretical option is there to have a physical ticket but in practice obtaining one is not as simple as you might think.

I found it very simple to be honest. I rang up and said "I'd like a physical season ticket please" and they said "No problem, what's your supporter number and we'll add you to the list".

I agree it should have been offered at point of sale though. If everyone who would have preferred one asked for one they might have been forced to next season.

I phoned the ticket office this morning to get physical season tickets as I’m out of the country for all of September and I wanted to be sure my grandchildren and whoever is accompanying them in my place didn’t run into any difficulties, especially as I’m unsure of WiFi access at certain times.
I had no problem getting them but I did have to pay £30 for the privilege. (3 tickets). I was told the only people not being charged are those with accessibility requirements.
My Notts Forest tickets were removed from the app whilst I was still on the phone.

That's bollocks that about the accessibility thing and more than a bit naughty. Weird they've only brought that up now.

Makes me think more people have requested them than they anticipated. Wonder if they'd go as far as asking for evidence.

I didn’t even have to log in. In fact I didn’t even have to have a phone or an internet connection. Even simpler.
