SaintRobbie Posted 29 January, 2009 Posted 29 January, 2009 5,000 - 10,000 Will be if the Echo carries a big advert for it tomorrow and Saturday morning.
Scudamore Posted 29 January, 2009 Posted 29 January, 2009 Who are these attendees who are willing to forego their pre match pint? Maybe if they went down the pub pre game we'd get a better atmosphere in the ground...
bridge too far Posted 29 January, 2009 Posted 29 January, 2009 Who are these attendees who are willing to forego their pre match pint? Maybe if they went down the pub pre game we'd get a better atmosphere in the ground... Everything looks better through beer goggles, doesn't it.
Scudamore Posted 29 January, 2009 Posted 29 January, 2009 Everything looks better through beer goggles, doesn't it. Exactly why i don't drive to games anymore...going sober is no longer an option...
saints_is_the_south Posted 29 January, 2009 Posted 29 January, 2009 I'll be there with 3 other ST holders. Normally start drinking in town about 1 so we'll be starting about 12 on Saturday to make up for the time lost during the march.
St Marco Posted 29 January, 2009 Posted 29 January, 2009 I'll be there with 4 other people too. I figure i can sit on my ass behind a keyboard and ***** about whats happening at the club everyday or i can bother to join the comrades in trying to show our opinions in person to the board. I don't expect there to be thousands of people at the start of the march, maybe only a few hundred. But as the march goes on i am sure lots of people who are shopping or whatever will join in when they hear what it is about. Such is the passion amongst the community for our club. So no doubt we're have a few hundred or so and then after the game we're get home to read the same people *****ing about the club and *****ing about the march while they sit on their ass behind a computer screen doing nothing to help anyone but themselves. The interesting thing is the march is being passed around by word of mouth. Only a tiny tiny % of Saints fans bother to use this forum, if you look at one of the facebook groups they have over 2000 people on it, a far cry from the hundred or so who have voted on here. Add to this it is being covered by the media means it has the potential to become important.
scott_saints Posted 29 January, 2009 Posted 29 January, 2009 I'm surprised how well it has passed by word of mouth. I know of around 5 people at the local who are going with other people, and none of them use the internet. Same here at work aswell. 3 people have heard about it and will be attending, along with their kids and their mates etc.

paris Posted 29 January, 2009 Posted 29 January, 2009 I presume they will ... Will be if the Echo carries a big advert for it tomorrow and Saturday morning.
saint boggy Posted 29 January, 2009 Posted 29 January, 2009 A few more IF they've closed the Northam to home fans. I'm assured by those more knowledgable than me (everyone) that's not the case though. according to this, they ARE opening the full away end to Swansea fans...don't know if they mean the WHOLE of the Northam, or what... http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/?page_id=11288
bungle Posted 29 January, 2009 Posted 29 January, 2009 according to this, they ARE opening the full away end to Swansea fans...don't know if they mean the WHOLE of the Northam, or what... http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/?page_id=11288 Honestly, this is the most ridiculous scaremongering I have come across in some time.
Nexstar Posted 29 January, 2009 Posted 29 January, 2009 according to this, they ARE opening the full away end to Swansea fans...don't know if they mean the WHOLE of the Northam, or what... http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/?page_id=11288 WTF?! Do you honestly believe they would close the whole of northam, pushing out over 3,000 saints fans without telling them 2 days before the game? People need to get a grip, for the league away fans can get a MAXIMUM of 3,200 seats.
NickG Posted 29 January, 2009 Posted 29 January, 2009 season tickets won't be moving, ffs calm down its badly worded thats all
docker-p Posted 29 January, 2009 Posted 29 January, 2009 I'll be there with a hip flask to make up for the drinking time I'll miss.:drinkers:
saintwarwick Posted 29 January, 2009 Posted 29 January, 2009 Everything looks better through beer goggles, doesn't it. It does watching Saints.
um pahars Posted 29 January, 2009 Posted 29 January, 2009 I'll be there with a hip flask to make up for the drinking time I'll miss.:drinkers: Get in Bar Risa/Jongleurs and you can drink whilst you wait!!!!!! It's a pity Gattis has shut down!!!!!!!!
saint boggy Posted 29 January, 2009 Posted 29 January, 2009 no full away allocation thankyou Nick, for a polite answer...... WTF?! Do you honestly believe they would close the whole of northam, pushing out over 3,000 saints fans without telling them 2 days before the game? People need to get a grip, for the league away fans can get a MAXIMUM of 3,200 seats. SOME people (namely you!) need to calm the f**k down a bit, and stop having a go at 'fellow fans' for the tiniest reason!!!!!!!!!! i did say that i wasn't sure what they meant by 'full away end, didn't i????!!!!!
rocknrollman no2 Posted 29 January, 2009 Posted 29 January, 2009 I'll be there with a hip flask to make up for the drinking time I'll miss.:drinkers: Im glad im not the only one who does this!
sperm_john Posted 29 January, 2009 Posted 29 January, 2009 can someone take a camera for the rest of us to have a look after? pics of the actual bargate meet, numbers and the marching to the stadium would be good, just want to see how succesfull it is really! thanks
SamKimish Posted 30 January, 2009 Posted 30 January, 2009 Plus all the average Saints fans that will tag along when they see us marching through town. Clever idea to meet at bargate but I think we would attract a much larger crowd if we were to go via West Quay.
