"Armstrong’s 37 goal contributions, which included 24 goals and 13 assists, was the highest tally of any player in England’s top four divisions last term"....yep...just about cut it....I feel another St Lard "super-villain" emerging....

Completely different prospect under Martin.  He was the best player on the park in a lot of those games last season, and watching him every home match from my seat level with the box he's got great instincts, technique and power, a terrier, as per the £100m goal at Wembley.  Put him with a proper centre forward who can finish and we will be glad to have him at SMS this season.

Armstrong is a championship striker. Scores goals against championship keepers, championship defenders and championship sides. Nothing I’ve seen from him convinces me he’ll score more than a handful of goals at Premier league level.

I have faith that he will prove to be a solid winger for us now he's had a full season of confidence building performances. He probably won't even get 10 goals this season but goalscorers are a dying breed in football anyway.

Armstrong is shit. How people are rejoicing him  signing a new contract is mental

he can’t cut it in the Premier League. He is dire.
just cut it in the Championship. Just.

I will concede that he was ineffective in the Premiership last time. However, with a manager who knows how to play him I expect the outcome to be different

he was very pretty good last season in the championship. You might be right about the Prem, he failed last time, but let's see this time around.

In a system that didn’t play to his strengths and being in and out of the team, I will agree he didn’t cut it in the PL. I’m hopeful he will so better in this system, how much better remains to be seen.

How is being the highest goal contributor of the top 4 English leagues ‘just cutting it’? Did he sleep with your Mrs or something? He has more than earned his chance to have another go IMO.

I genuinely think you're trolling here, it's an incredibly bad effort as well.
