Never a pen in a million years.
we have been the worst performing side in the tournament, under par every game.
And we are the jammiest team in the tournament.
travesty if we were to win it.
but damn I hope we do.

Surprised the ref changed his mind on that TBH. There was contact but it didn't stop Kane getting his shot away first. Although I suppose you could argue the foul action prevented him from being able to get the clean strike he would have wanted.

Regardless of Kane getting the shot off, it was no different to a player going into any other tackle late and missing the ball but catching the player.

Foden's feet there were absolutely ridiculous. Unlucky.

Still waiting for a replay of that but it looked like he was offside when it came through to him.

Dutch giving us too much space between the lines. So unlike every other team we've played.

Veerman coming on to solve this?

 "Trip or attempt to trip"

I haven't seen it.

Wasn't an attempt to trip. They both went for the ball, Kane got there first and got a shot away, but then had his foot caught on the follow through.

Probably ‘Tackles or challenges’ with being late, missing the ball, and having studs up pushing it over into being classed as careless or reckless.

On the BBC live text ;

Phil McNulty "Did I think that was a penalty? Absolutely not -..."

Alan Shearer "....the Dutch will feel hard done by"

Lee Dixon "I don't think it's a penalty but I don't care."

Foden and Bellingham pulling the strings. Very good half. More confident than ever that we'll win the whole thing.

Best half of football I've seen from England so far. But a lot of that is down to naivety from the Dutch giving us too much space in the final third. And as poor as they have been, they've scored a good goal and hit the bar, so we can't get complacent.

After the Netherlands start, I was a bit worried. But England the hungrier of the two, and stronger in the challenge. Some nice crossfire switches, and Bellingham and Foden really mobile. Trippier obviously not the/ or his best out left. More of the same second half (maybe getting Shaw on if fit enough)

Need Shaw on at LWB. Some great build up play continuously stifled by Trippiers lack of a left foot

If he is missing a left foot we are in trouble!

How is it not? Defender misses ball completely and takes out kane. Pen all day and night long

Kane still coming too deep at times. Hope to see Toney or Watkins on at some stage plus Palmer and Shaw. We can win this if Southgate plays it right.

I don’t get this attitude. It was a 50/50 pen call , soft but ‘never in a million years’ WTF.

’worst performing side in the tournament’ - really? You sound like you have a chip in your shoulder.

Jammiest team in the tournament? I’m just occupying a different planet to you.

Happening.

An improved performance. Let's see if we can make it count in the 90 minutes and not rely on extra time and pens

What's worrying me is playing half decent and should be ahead. Reminds me of a lot of times we should have won and been knocked out. Weirdly would would feel more confident being gash and go through undeservingly
