At times last season in Southampton Yourh leagues it felt like I was a verbal punchbag because VAR made it seem that Referees decisions were not to be trusted. Even at youth league level u18! Players and Managers seemed especially empowered to argue every decision - instead of getting on with the game. I cannot see any incentive for anyone to try refereeing at present. Even at amateur level you are treated like shxx. For less than minimum wage. You get £30 for around 3-4 hours including travel to and from games plus paperwork online. It’s definitely a lot worse than it used to be. The television companies don’t help with their constant over-analysis of any refereeing decision.
skintsaint Posted 22 June, 2024 Posted 22 June, 2024 Suppose a lot can change in 3 minutes, one minute you are solid in defence....then 1
East Kent Saint Posted 22 June, 2024 Posted 22 June, 2024 I wouldn't know as McCoist is mumbling something something.... 1
adrian lord Posted 22 June, 2024 Posted 22 June, 2024 (edited) Class goal. Errr not. I think the spirit of the offside rule is not being applied in football in recent years. Edited 22 June, 2024 by adrian lord
OttawaSaint Posted 22 June, 2024 Posted 22 June, 2024 He must be gutted. An inch off from that far out. Not really an advantage is it? 2
Totton Saint Posted 23 June, 2024 Posted 23 June, 2024 I wish Southgate would 'experiment' by resigning now to see what effect it would have on the team selection ,tactics and results. i guess we would not be able to parachute in a new manager so why not have a player\manager from one of the squas 1

They went on to win it........ Edited 23 June, 2024 by skintsaint 2
SNSUN Posted 23 June, 2024 Posted 23 June, 2024 Did I accurately hear on Talksport earlier that the England team have had an emergency meeting where each player has told Southgate their preferred position?!? Please tell me that's satire... Googles... No, not satire. They actually told Southgate the positions they wanted to play in. During a major tournament. 2 1 2

Perhaps Kane said he did not want to play any where! 1

"Ever since I saw Bazunu doing so well, going up late in a game, I've dreamed about being a striker," revealed Pickford. Perhaps the discussion was more around which position they wanted to play, to better support TAA and Foden? 🙂
captainchris Posted 23 June, 2024 Posted 23 June, 2024 (edited) No Stuart Armstrong again…. If Scotland are good enough not to pick Armstrong then they should be winning the Euros!!! Edited 23 June, 2024 by captainchris 1

Andy Hill Posted 23 June, 2024 Posted 23 June, 2024 Adams really is not Premiership quality - just let him go. 3
Sheaf Saint Posted 23 June, 2024 Posted 23 June, 2024 Awful game. Only 1 attempt on goal from either team so far. And Switzerland leading against Germany!

bpsaint Posted 23 June, 2024 Posted 23 June, 2024 Adams really is wank isn’t he. I really hope it’s not true about offering him A new contract. 3

Baird of the land Posted 23 June, 2024 Posted 23 June, 2024 You’d think these 2 teams were playing for a draw, given the lack of intensity for the most of the half.
Dr Who? Posted 23 June, 2024 Posted 23 June, 2024 Adams is doing very well holding up the ball, carrying the ball, and bringing other players into play. The service to him is awful. You could look at all the stars in the England team and think they were all crap, but they clearly are not. 1

Andy Hill Posted 23 June, 2024 Posted 23 June, 2024 All of the falling over and play acting needs to be sorted out by UEFA. They have the video evidence to do it.
AlexLaw76 Posted 23 June, 2024 Author Posted 23 June, 2024 I think Adam’s has done well, considering the team he is playing in.
adrian lord Posted 23 June, 2024 Posted 23 June, 2024 This group stage has been pretty dire and far too drawn out. It’s enough to extinguish one’s enthusiasm for the championships before the last 16.

Micky Posted 23 June, 2024 Posted 23 June, 2024 So much for proud Edwards army, they're going without a whimper.

When the camera was looking down at the player, looked like a bit of a fit….could be anything, but looked bad but, when he was placed on his side/recovery position, he was moving more normally. Lighthouse Posted 23 June, 2024 Posted 23 June, 2024 It looked like the 'keeper clattered his own defender with the brunt of the force. If anything it looks like Gunn caught Varga with his knee or elbow on the way past.
Mixedkebab Posted 23 June, 2024 Posted 23 June, 2024 Was that the sweaties fans booing for the stretcher coming on???

Medical professionals can decide for themselves what equipment they need and when. Loud booing and cheering when they're trying to communicate with each other and the patient is beyond idiotic.
adrian lord Posted 23 June, 2024 Posted 23 June, 2024 That was never a Scottish penalty. The ref was spot on. 3
East Kent Saint Posted 23 June, 2024 Posted 23 June, 2024 One shot by Scotland so far , 3 yards over the bar by Che !
64saint Posted 23 June, 2024 Posted 23 June, 2024 (edited) Nooooo, feel for the Scots Edited 23 June, 2024 by 64saint 1
Lighthouse Posted 23 June, 2024 Posted 23 June, 2024 A draw wouldn't have been enough anyway. 2 points with Scotland's GD wouldn't get them through.
Saint-Reece Posted 23 June, 2024 Posted 23 June, 2024 Shame they didn’t bother to even look like they wanted to win until the 90th+ minute. Got what they deserved!
Winnersaint Posted 23 June, 2024 Posted 23 June, 2024 When Scots laugh at England. Hmmm. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
