Sheaf Saint Posted 17 June, 2024 Posted 17 June, 2024 Romania's 3rd goal - if that was in the PL we would still be waiting for VAR to decide if it was offside or not. It's very refreshing to see it being used in a much more subtle way. The PMGOL should take note. 3
Turkish Posted 17 June, 2024 Posted 17 June, 2024 has there been no mass outpouring of support for Ukraine so far in this competition? 1 1

PGMOL decided against using it in 23-24, for whatever reason
coalman Posted 17 June, 2024 Posted 17 June, 2024 Slovakia are playing some really nice football here. Belgium having a proper scare. 1
SambaMaverick Posted 17 June, 2024 Posted 17 June, 2024 Who hired Danny Rohl for this gig ffs? Obviously a talented manager but terrible TV

OnceaSaintalwaysaSaint Posted 17 June, 2024 Posted 17 June, 2024 Think we definitely signed the wrong winger from Rennes!

S-Clarke Posted 17 June, 2024 Posted 17 June, 2024 Belgium flattered to deceive really, a lot of huff and puff from them (although they can count themselves a bit unlucky with two disallowed goal). First kinda shock of the tournament.

Baird of the land Posted 17 June, 2024 Posted 17 June, 2024 Awful handball decision imo. It brushes his hand but decision completely ignores context of him getting shoved beforehand by the defender.
East Kent Saint Posted 17 June, 2024 Posted 17 June, 2024 There seems to be an inordinate amount of shoving players with both hands in this tournament along with a fair amount of simulation , perhaps VAR needs extending 😄
Convict Colony Posted 17 June, 2024 Posted 17 June, 2024 (edited) The Lukaku of west brom vintage would be turning his grave at what he's become. Edited 17 June, 2024 by Convict Colony

It would be interesting to see what the rules state but surely is the defender is pushing into his arm then it’s not positioned where it is deliberately?

It’s confusing as I watched that interview at the time and I was sure Danny Rohl said “we have to accept this result”, I was only really half paying attention but the question to him seemed to be framed around the fact that he was a Belgian. I’d have to watch it again but it was strange at the time, and seeing this just makes it more so.
Scully Posted 17 June, 2024 Posted 17 June, 2024 Saints legend Kevin Danso playing tonight. Wish him luck against the French front 3 1

East Kent Saint Posted 17 June, 2024 Posted 17 June, 2024 The ref in the France match seems to be giving fouls against defenders crashing into the back of the man with the ball , unlike the first two matches today !
OttawaSaint Posted 17 June, 2024 Posted 17 June, 2024 (edited) Danso's a CB but didn't RH shoehorn him in at LB? Edited 17 June, 2024 by OttawaSaint
Sheaf Saint Posted 17 June, 2024 Posted 17 June, 2024 Very impressive support from the Austrian fans 👏 1

RedWillie Posted 17 June, 2024 Posted 17 June, 2024 Spotted a large Southampton Union Jack in the French end at the front. Well done lads. 3

Baird of the land Posted 17 June, 2024 Posted 17 June, 2024 Loved seeing mbappe getting booked for coming back on pitch. hated Swiss player getting booked for winning 50/50 with keeper. Not least for double standards as to what it is ok to do to an outfield player.

Turkish Posted 17 June, 2024 Posted 17 June, 2024 What’s all this bollocks about breaking up food in front of opposition fans? Austrians doing it today with baguettes, Albanians did it yesterday with spaghetti. Is this epic Bantz these days?
Holmes_and_Watson Posted 17 June, 2024 Posted 17 June, 2024 Bit messy for fans to take apart tikka masala in front of the England support.
