I had heard a rumour from 2 different people, that there were going to be 1000 more tickets to be released today. I phoned the ticket office and they assured me that was not going to be the case.

So I dont need to sit by the computer checking!!

For WBA away game, a handful of returned tickets did make their was onto the site but were unannounced. This was a couple of days after they sold out on 11 aways, and I was able to get mine with 10

No idea if any will reappear for the final, but worth checking if you missed out

With Adams (unlikely) and Stewart (impossible) being unavailable from the start I think its almost certain to be the same lineup as for the semi final with Fraser vs Manning the only real decision to make.

Big blow not to have a fully fit Adams, especially after having such a good game against them a couple of weeks ago. We did look pretty lightweight in attack both legs until Smallbone's goal.

Has to be Fraser for me, he’s got both the pace to keep up with their wide players and the threat in behind as we saw on Friday.

After watching it back he was better than I’d noticed on the night, in both directions.

Really hoping that Che makes it though, though he misses sitters he really helps us click up top

Interestingly the envelope is marked “Advanced First Class”image.thumb.jpg.6749d3930245a757c7a64675af91a574.jpg

I believe this is where the specialist postage company gets the letter to the local distribution office by their own means and Royal Mail handle the last mile (RM are probably held to a higher SLA than standard letters and would be contracted to get them delivered ASAP I would think). Trusting RM to do the whole thing end to end within a week would be nigh on impossible, given they sacrifice regular stamped post delivery to deliver parcels and the like. All down to the deregulated bit of the postal system....

Postman just delivered my tickets

Be careful about posting tickets online, someone can scan the QR code from it and effectively steal your ticket as the code can only be used once.

I'd like to think people on here would be more sensible but I've seen it on Twitter/Facebook as well where obviously anyone in the world could just scan the code and you'd be none the wiser.

It was 2012-13, we brought in the Liverpool away kit, with white shorts and white socks. The club also said they would never deviate from that, and if there was a shorts and/or socks clash then we wouldn’t wear anything but the white and so would change kit completely. Come Christmas and there hadn’t been a single game where we had worn that kit, in fact I believe the club brought back the yellow kit from the season before just to have a viable third kit. They ended up wearing the kit at home as an FA Cup kit, and we lost (to Chelsea?) and so the fortune of the kit was doomed. It might have hot one or two other airings but it was a complete disaster.

IMG-0078.jpg

That kit was utterly absurd from the start.

'OK lads, the colours of our home kit are red and white, what shall we have for the away kit?'

'How about red and white, but in different proportions?'

'Brilliant! Can't possibly see any problems with that - that's what I call out of the box thinking! God we're clever. Now, who wants lunch?'

Wasn't that one of the multiple kit-related disasters that happened on Cortese's watch?

Weak as fuck ref, who will allow Leeds to kick the shit out of our boys with no yellows.

That'll cut both ways then.

In which case, I suppose the issue (from an EFL perspective) is then that WBA had suitable socks immediately available in another registered and EFL-approved kit (because the alternate kit is navy) whereas Saints don't, because our other sock options are turquoise or yellow and black. So if an FA official pushes back on white socks, there's not an immediate fix other than totally changing the kit selection.

Still, a shame common sense can't be used around these rules to enable them to flex kit rules when it absolutely will not negatively impact the officials or the opponent. Having both teams in their primary colours for the EFL's #1 showpiece game would be better optics (even if ultimately meaningless)

I quite like the black and yellow kit anyway, but I can see why it disappoints people for Saints to not be in red and white.

Bring back the old gold shirts and black shorts from the sixties!

How can fans be colourful supporters of a team in black? . The Club always says the support is important and matters to the players, well, black doesn't help. Leeds fans will outdo us

BKM - black kits matter.

Perhaps the VAR operator will earn his keep then.

yep and we have been doing our fare share of professional fouls in recent games, so that could prove handy.

Because angelic Flynn and Jack and Jan and Ryan never ever kick anyone and play the whole match like a game of Victorian Lacrosse.

Decent preview here from 26 mins in. Adrian Clarke and Sam Parkin really know their EFL. Clarke favours us and doesn’t rate Farke’s tactical nous, Parkin sits on the fence.

Interesting opinions from Prutton.  I didn't realize RM played for their manager under Norwich, or at least I forgot.

That's a massive advantage for us in my opinion and probably goes a long way as to why we did the double over them

I don't think they're exactly on each others christmas card lists either

My tickets for the womens man u v spurs fa cup final didn't scan the other week. Had to queue then queue at another ticket office.  Took about 45 minute reprint tickets. Of the 45 ticket windows most are for club Wembley and enough fans with queries on collecting. Only 9 out the windows were in use. So maybe miss the 4th pint in the pub and get to ground bit early. You have to show ticket round perimeter also as new barriers all round wembly and at steps end Wembley way. So that will be busy with at 2.30pm !!

Russell Martin was effectively binned off by Daniel Farke when he was a player, after many years at the club.

Neither holds the other in high regard.

The Leeds United wankfest has begun on most social media/podcast outlets in the past day or so.

Another reason it would be nice to see us get five or six against them.

I have just seen someone say Leeds the Northern powerhouse will win obviously- I think I fell asleep in my Tardis and went back to the 70’s

Extra trains to Waterloo are being put on to help cope with demand Sunday earliest 7:50 from Central…if they’re not already rammed before they get there!

Has that been confirmed now? They didn't think there would be when I asked

Looks like there are extras at 7.50, 8.50 and 9.50. All starting from Southampton and only stopping at Parkway and Winchester.

He's welcome to have an opinion. Mine is that there should be a public enquiry into how this prick is employed by the BBC. 606 was a decent show back in the day. With him at the helm, I'd rather drive in silence.

I think most pundits want Leeds back because of the size of the club etc.

All that said if we’re going to go down that road can we evict teams from the Premier League just for not being big enough?

Am sure Sky etc would love to be able to do that.

Pundits will also suggest that they like the romance of smaller teams winning promotion, like Luton.

It appears big clubs 'deserve' to win things, even if they've been poor in recent times. Similar to how some pundits frothed over Newcastle's Carabao Cup run last season.

Personally, I'd like to see Leeds back in the Prem too. I like it when big teams and big away supports come to St Marys. It creates an atmosphere you just don't get when the likes of Fulham come to town. So, I hope they have a good season in the Championship next season and get promoted.

Tickets just arrived on the Isle of Wight !!

Just check they are for the Play-off Final and not the League Cup final knowing how Royal Mail work on the Island. How is Teletext these days, have not been home for a couple of years now, so haven't had the chance to check it out.

Dirty Leeds will get their way and win: either at whistle or penalties.

They deserve to be in the championship, spent long enough there. We don't.

But when did Saints get good luck ?.

Hmm, bought mine first thing Sunday and no sign yet (Southampton-based).

Two more postal days yet, granted. But the club do love inflicting additional pain (and workload) upon themselves, don't they?

And Royal Mail works fine on the Island: it's arrived weekly, whether you want it or not.

To be honest, Jack and Ryan probably don't have the eye to ball coordination or positional temperament for Lacrosse.  Same old same old.
