Saint_clark Posted 17 May, 2024 Posted 17 May, 2024 Surely with a decent brewery deal though not serving the same as what's inside?
Saint Fan CaM Posted 17 May, 2024 Posted 17 May, 2024 Been watching a bit too much ‘Welcome to Wrexham’ with The Turf if you ask me. Still, good idea to bring in tourists if they get the beer/food etc right.
hypochondriac Posted 17 May, 2024 Posted 17 May, 2024 (edited) "I would like three Kingfisher lagers please. I won't pay a penny less than £6 per pint and they best come from dirty pipes and be room temperature." Sounds perfect. Edited 17 May, 2024 by hypochondriac 5
ant Posted 17 May, 2024 Posted 17 May, 2024 Fill it with Dancing Man beer. Consistently having them as a drinks option in the Northam has been a revelation. Owned by a local guy and they brew consistently fantastic liquid. 7
Give it to Ron Posted 17 May, 2024 Posted 17 May, 2024 So how is that going to survive without match days it’s what happened at Alfred nothing much during week. it amazes me how Kingsland and Prince of Wales survive

revolution saint Posted 17 May, 2024 Posted 17 May, 2024 Hopefully they'll have some mass produced lager to discourage old farts and hipsters. 1

Probably similar but with Tourettes would be my guess and I'm up for that. 1

Drive past it some evenings and it's not even open and other times there's maybe 4 people in. 1
SaintsLoyal Posted 17 May, 2024 Posted 17 May, 2024 Terrible idea, keep our locals and city pubs in business by going to them. 1

Sounds about right - there is a pub just outside Warwick in the middle of nowhere, called The Case is Altered, they sell real ale only and they have a Bar Billiards table that only takes old Sixpences (from behind the bar) many a night while working away up there, supping our way through the selection of curious beers, and that has descended into "Tourettes" Billiards more than once, resulting in a ticking off from the landlord.........................and we are all old enough to know better! 😁 1
IFHP Posted 17 May, 2024 Posted 17 May, 2024 Is this replacing the supporters bar that was built when the stadium opened before the club kicked the supporters out to the car park and rebranded it some cheap form of hospitality called the Gasworks.? 1

I remember the train being delayed for Saints V Pompey in the league cup back in league one so me and my brother ended up necking jaegerbombs upstairs in there just before kick off.

Strangely enough I was discussing the difference between Championship footie and Premier league footie with a local landlord after the game yesterday and his opinion was that he preferred Saints in the Championship because the additional games gave him a few more "large paydays" when compared to the top flight. The Gasworks isn’t hospitality, anyone can go in there (and handy if you have a ticket in the Kingsland as you go straight through in to the concourse)
