Very much night and day half’s.

1st half, slow and conservative with bucketloads of possession but little goal threat.

2ns half passing so much quicker and more positive. Didn’t gave the same level of possession but were 10 times more threatening.

2 nicely worked goals and a clever dive by manning (after ref knew he’d dropped a clanger over the earlier blatant penalty on brooks)

roll on the final.

first half WBA paced behind the ball, second half they pushed up, which left gaps. We played pretty well in both halves IMO.

That late goal makes the scoreline a lot closer than the game.

They had a little spell of pressure. But we we're solid. They had a shot from a direct ball. Alex had a little fumble that came to nothing. We weakened with late subs and turned off for that final minute set piece.

All that work on our passing game pays off as we controlled that game. Lots of running. Lots of awareness.

Loads of plusses for everyone. Downes an absolute engine; Will in that more forward role making excellent runs and bringing others into the game, cracking goal; Aribo using his strength and while not always demanding it, does all good things when on it; tireless AA using striker instincts with mobility and tracking back too; Brooks a lot more involved linking up well and we should have got a pen; KWP class and a different level of player. THB and Bedders in that solid, unshoehorned partnership; Stephens had the odd pass go astray. But pitched in all over. Thought he was going to shoot late on; Alex in goal looks the better shot stopper, and we weren't troubled passing it out. We tried mixing the range up a bit tonight, which pins opponents back; Fraser put in a lot of work, allowing others to get into positions.

Not a match where two similar teams try to get an edge. We controlled that one, and we're clear winners.

Classless bellends. Best atmosphere at SMS probably ever and those pikeys ruin it. Players deserved a decent send off

I think 'we' is an issue, there. Clearly a whole range of peoples from society attend the game. Just a shame those plebs have decided to be tits so publicly.

We'll be fine tonight. Nervy first half, but a comfortable 3-1 win. My only concern is left back, Manning scares me against their right winger, so probably Stephens is the lesser of those 2 evils. Our biggest risk is vital players getting kicked out of the game, or being injured ahead of Leeds. COYR.

Never in doubt. Roll on Wembley, and the return to the promised land. COYR.

I remember the day at Derby. How embarrassing and pathetic we've stooped to that. Says a lot about someone's character if their first reaction to victory is to goad the opposition.

Classless. Didn't we experience the same before? Clearly an eye for an eye is taking place. What a shame.

Absolutely. We moaned about Derby fans doing it up there and then go and do the same.

Go on the pitch for a little run around if you want but don't be a cunt about it.

yeah. I know I'm better. Don't mind Saints fans celebrating and going on the itch even, why not, its been a long season and some fans have put in a tremendous effort, but giving it large to the WBA fans is just tinpot.

He said the one that wasn't given was a penalty, and the one we got was a dive.

He said that when Manning was at Swansea, Warnock would shake his hand after the game and say how good his dives were.

You have to have the mentality of an 8 year old to be excited about going on the pitch and running about.  It’s embarrassing.

and if you are a member on here and did it I’m talking about you , you cunt.

Who cares, the twat can go fuck himself. He's a joke. You don't get much lower than having you own players feign injury to get a game abandoned. Although he's right about both pens.

Very good professional performance and well deserved win. David Brooks was my man of the match today, class player who showed why we signed him for those who have been questioning that lately. Smallbone also had a good game and used the ball well.
