(Sam Stanton is the head of Scouting Operations for the three clubs...) Yeah, we obviously have an operative over there who’s doing some good work.

Dusic Posted 2 September, 2024 Posted 2 September, 2024 (edited) Anyone know how many loans Goztepe are allowed from us at any one time? Currently two, perhaps that is a limit? The Echo suggested Wellington is seen as a Saints player when he joins, I guess we will be looking to loan out Larios and Manning in Jan as over stocked with full backs. Nolan Posted 4 September, 2024 Posted 4 September, 2024 (edited) Welington is a Saints Player when he joins in January, that has been confirmed. Southampton plan for Welington to remain at club upon arrival | Daily Echo Edited 4 September, 2024 by Nolan

Convict Colony Posted 12 September, 2024 Posted 12 September, 2024 (edited) Assume this must be a good deal for goztepe "Göztepe SK agree loan deal with Chelsea for David Datro Fofana after AEK Athens move collapsed. It also include an option to buy and a recall clause in January. #CFC can bring the player back from January 1, 2025." https://x.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1834267243619721428 Edited 12 September, 2024 by Convict Colony

Nolan Posted 13 September, 2024 Posted 13 September, 2024 Worth noting Saints play three times before Göztepe's next game on 23/9. and they only fit in 3 games before the next international window..
BERMUDASAINT Posted 13 September, 2024 Posted 13 September, 2024 (edited) David Datro Fofana set to join Göztepe SK on loan newly promoted Göztepe SK could move for the transfer. According to Fabrizio Romano, the agreed deal includes all the provisions that caused AEK all sorts of consternation, including a £16m purchase clause and a January break option if we so choose. Just like AEK, Göztepe surely also don’t have the funds to activate that clause either, regardless of how well Fofana might play, but unlike AEK, they have recently joined Southampton’s multi-club verse, which could provide for with some intriguing possibilities. Of course, we shouldn’t count our chicken just yet. Let’s make sure that this move does become official first... https://x.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1834267243619721428 Edited 13 September, 2024 by BERMUDASAINT
BERMUDASAINT Posted 17 September, 2024 Posted 17 September, 2024 Official: David Datro Fofana joins Göztepe SK on loan from Chelsea Best of luck, David! By Fellipe Miranda Sep 14, 2024, 3:59am BST Chelsea centre-forward David Datro Fofana was almost a victim of our circumstances, with loan moves to Leicester City and AEK Athens falling apart amidst advanced negotiations with both clubs. But with the Turkish summer transfer window still open, Fofana found a way out of the “bomb squad” by joining Göztepe SK on a loan deal. Two reasons why Fofana’s loan move to the Greek Super League fell apart were Chelsea's demand for a (hefty) £16m release clause, and the inclusion of a January break option. From the looks of it these issues were ironed out in the negotiations with the Turkish outfit. Last season Fofana spent the first half of the season at Bundesliga club Union Berlin, scoring two goals in 17 matches before moving to then Premier League club Burnley. He started out strongly, with an assist against Manchester City followed by a brace versus Fulham to help him finish with four goals and a single assist in 15 league matches for the Clarets. Good luck, David! 1
BERMUDASAINT Posted 20 September, 2024 Posted 20 September, 2024 Goztepe is also undefeated in the super leauge, 10th place after 4 games. Come on Siants, lets start ours this weekend 🙏 1
Convict Colony Posted 23 September, 2024 Posted 23 September, 2024 Looks like gozteppe are balling out and going for my fav 2-0 scoreline. Should now make them 6th in league and a game in hand still. Sorry gozteppe fans if this now puts the kiss of death on you with 10mins left.

skintsaint Posted 23 September, 2024 Posted 23 September, 2024 That first goal isn't in the SR playbook so they won't be happy about that. Glimpses of Matsuki as well near the end of the game.
david in sweden Posted 24 September, 2024 Posted 24 September, 2024 (edited) .......also good to see that Juan (our new signing on loan to them) scored the second goal in that 3-0 win. Aside from Lis, our other Japanese signing Kuryu Matsuki (also on loan to them)...featured in the game, too. whereas on the other hand Trabzonspor .. are wallowing around in the bottom half of the table - without Onuacho... If they really wanted him ?.. their Board should have found the money.. now we see they outwitted themselves. Edited 24 September, 2024 by david in sweden 1

I've now seen more league goals from Gozteppe in 1 game than we have managed in our 5 games so far. 1

skintsaint Posted 28 September, 2024 Posted 28 September, 2024 Thought Lis is playing well..then saw their winner 😅 Juan more goal for our boy up front again.
ChristopheVAFC Posted 29 September, 2024 Posted 29 September, 2024 Extra time proved to be another bad day for our friends as they conceded a goal in the dying moments of yesterday's match... Let's wish our brothers a better game next time!
Tommy Mulgrew Posted 26 October, 2024 Author Posted 26 October, 2024 That is a seriously good result for a team playing over an hour with 10 men against a big-name team unbeaten in the first eight games.👏 30% possession, 19 shots and 7 on target v. 70%, 14 and 3. Stoilov obviously does not believe in Russball. The two promoted teams are 5th and 6th after 9 games. I wish it were like that in this country. BTW, until now I did not realise that Lis is captain. Juan played 70 minutes and Victor Hugo was subbed-on at 94 minutes. 1
