Harry_SFC Posted 10 May, 2024 Posted 10 May, 2024 (edited) I'd stick Stewart up top for 60 mins. Simply cannot start Mara in such an important game. And we know AA is useless upfront. Edited 10 May, 2024 by Harry_SFC 3
aintforever Posted 10 May, 2024 Posted 10 May, 2024 I’m not Adams’ biggest fan but he played an important role in the way we played against Leeds so it will be a big blow if he’s out. Fucking typical. 1
benjii Posted 10 May, 2024 Posted 10 May, 2024 If we play the same shape as against Leeds then we could go with Sulemana instead of Adams and bring Stewart on later. Means Armstrong needs to provide the link role but it could work quite well.

Sulemenas effort off the ball is appalling. I consciously watched him after he came on against Leeds and his pressing was so poor. Mara no better either. 7

Are we too superior for it down here? People that don’t want to do it don’t have to. Shows the players that the city is up for it. 2
SaintBobby Posted 11 May, 2024 Author Posted 11 May, 2024 Can we just try and win the away leg first? Thanks. 9
Suhari Posted 11 May, 2024 Posted 11 May, 2024 Che looked fine in Waitrose yesterday. Showed decent acceleration when he had to catch up with his daughter after she wandered off. 5

goodymatt Posted 11 May, 2024 Posted 11 May, 2024 Martin confirmed in his pre match presser (part 2) that we have been practicing penalties for quite some time now and will continue to do so. Just to put that earlier argument to bed. Also took the team and management out for a meal after Warnock recommended it on Sky. 7
goodymatt Posted 11 May, 2024 Posted 11 May, 2024 If Che isn’t starting it’s a huge blow. Ross isn’t ready to start and the alternatives are not good enough. Guess we will find out tomorrow but if he’s not been in full training then it seems very likely he’s not in the squad at all. 1

It's not like the Premier League is some mythical promised land for us that we haven't experienced since the 70s - it's understandable for fans that have properly suffered in the lower leagues for a long, long time. 4

FarehamSaintJames Posted 11 May, 2024 Posted 11 May, 2024 Scrappy 1-1 draw tomorrow. Cagey affair, but I think West Brom will be absolutely pumped for it!

JRM Posted 12 May, 2024 Posted 12 May, 2024 The league One and Two play offs both providing a good example of how irrelevant the final league placings are when it comes to knock out football. MK Dons highest ranked league two losing 7-1 on aggregate to Crawley. 2nd ranked Doncaster also going out. Peterborough being 2nd ranked in league one also going out. Hopefully we buck the trend now.
goodymatt Posted 12 May, 2024 Posted 12 May, 2024 Well I’m feeling a tad nervous this morning. Come on you Saints! 😇🙏 1
sfc4prem Posted 12 May, 2024 Posted 12 May, 2024 Feeling super confident. Come on boys, let's fucking do this. Che to score 2 in a 2-1 win.
AlexLaw76 Posted 12 May, 2024 Posted 12 May, 2024 1-2 to Saints....the rest over the last couple of weeks will make a huge difference to us (compared to a few weeks back).
SaintsFan86 Posted 12 May, 2024 Posted 12 May, 2024 I'm nervous as fuck today, anyone thinking this is going to be easy is in for a rude awakening. 1

Basically that's no one thinking it is going to be easy. But we finish 12 points ahead, and we've beaten them twice this season. So objectively we are better. It's perfectly realistic to think we can win this leg. That's not the same as writing it off as "easy". 1

Yeah I agree, its going to be far more difficult than some seem to believe. To be honest if we lose by only one goal its not a disaster. Two or more probably is however. 1
Charlie Wayman Posted 12 May, 2024 Posted 12 May, 2024 Perfect weather for football so no excuses today. Probably 1-1 but that's OK.
Holmes_and_Watson Posted 12 May, 2024 Posted 12 May, 2024 The game will bring challenges. But we have shown our strengths in the last 2 games against them. If we remain focused and not over confident, we will bring them plenty of challenges too.
Convict Colony Posted 12 May, 2024 Posted 12 May, 2024 3 games needed of taking our chances, that's all. 2

BranfootsLoveChild Posted 12 May, 2024 Posted 12 May, 2024 Just had a look on NowTV to get a day pass.....£14.99 now. Bloody hell. It was £11.99 3 weeks ago and that was bad enough. I know I can get a stream but they aren't always reliable. Has anyone got any sites that are reliable for streams please. Cheers. COYR!!!
obelisk Posted 12 May, 2024 Posted 12 May, 2024 It's helps for me to reduce the tension by reminding myself that I don't really like the EPL anyway, what with all that VAR, relegation struggles and stuff. Saints will probably go and win the playoffs just to annoy me. 😜 2

suewhistle Posted 12 May, 2024 Posted 12 May, 2024 Off to Wembley with team-mates. I'll check afterwards to avoid stress and save my liver by not watching down the pub..

Anyone know whether Saints Player is covering the game. I find myself in Gubbio, and unsurprisingly there’s not much local interest in our game. Have walked from Florence….. if the players work as hard as I’ve had to, we should be a step closer to Wembley. yers

Sheaf Saint Posted 12 May, 2024 Posted 12 May, 2024 Was looking like I might not make it earlier due to massive disruption on the trains from Sheffield, but I'm just pulling into Brum now and getting excited - actually looking forward to my nerve settling shit when I get to New Street. 1 2
davefizzy14 Posted 12 May, 2024 Posted 12 May, 2024 Excited for this today, 2-0 to us - Adams and Aribo to score - COYR 😊 1
