East Kent Saint
https://computervisionblog.wordpress.com/2013/06/26/visual-illusion-saccadic-masking/ At a driver awareness course (to avoid 3 points) saccadic masking was introduced to explain why you could turn your head and swivel your eyes to look up the road and not register a motorcyclist , for instance . Sounds wierd but to avoid you getting dizzy or seeing a blurred image while your eyes are moving the brain waits until your eyes have moved before showing an image . (I think that is the explanation!) It could explain why we all see things different at a match including the officials of course. This effect has been know about since 1890 ! They noticed if you looked in a mirror and moved your eyes left to right you didn't see your eyes move . An observer could see your eyes move but you can't . Toussaint
We do all see things differently, but if in doubt ask me, because I am always 100% correct.
East Kent Saint
It's a bit like film where there is a gap between images , JFK being shot film a classic case . So how good is modern technology ?
Wurzel
This is why Clive Woodward brought in a vision coach during his short spell ( or way too long spell if you're Harry Redknapp) with us after Rupert Lowe appointed him. Little margins etc.
