Yes, I get the argument that we need him fit for the playoffs but when we're still with a fairly decent chance of auto promotion you have to take risks and throw everything at it, surely....? Franny just said the same thing 👀

Crouchie's Lawyer Posted 20 April, 2024 Posted 20 April, 2024 Brilliant, Stuey likely to be out for the remainder of the season now to top it off

washsaint Posted 20 April, 2024 Posted 20 April, 2024 And Stu A with a bad injury. Terrible news - our most creative player possibly out for the season. RM's subs have been awful. 2
Wade Garrett Posted 20 April, 2024 Posted 20 April, 2024 Now Stu is injured. Fuck off Russell Martin you total fucking cunt. Fucking absolute fucking idiot. Thick fucking wanker. 5 1 1
aintforever Posted 20 April, 2024 Posted 20 April, 2024 (edited) At least we can rest some players before the playoffs now. Edited 20 April, 2024 by aintforever

swannymere Posted 20 April, 2024 Posted 20 April, 2024 Utterly predictable. The life of a Saints fan summed up in one game. 5
James Posted 20 April, 2024 Posted 20 April, 2024 In the circumstances this was a disgrace of a performance. Can’t see how anyone can have confidence for the playoffs. This bunch of wet wipes can’t beat a mid table side, decimated by injury with nothing to play for. 3

HarvSFC Posted 20 April, 2024 Posted 20 April, 2024 What ever happened to that myth that all our possession would eventually tire the opposition out? Seems to have the opposite effect, all the work on the ball knackers our players out. 3
Convict Colony Posted 20 April, 2024 Posted 20 April, 2024 Fucking embarrassing, those misses today are symptomatic of our season and the thing that is out weakness, finishing. Fucking shit shit shit. 1

It's There Posted 20 April, 2024 Posted 20 April, 2024 Ok. A couple of weeks to get Ross in the squad! 2
Miltonaggro Posted 20 April, 2024 Posted 20 April, 2024 Today illustrates that the longstanding fear of this lot choking in the play offs is totally founded in reality. What a balls up! 2
AlexLaw76 Posted 20 April, 2024 Posted 20 April, 2024 You could see it coming, not long before they scored their first, they were dominating midfield, pressing us and we gave away a cheap corner on around 62 mins seen this pattern so many times 1
badgerx16 Posted 20 April, 2024 Posted 20 April, 2024 Che and AA are paid thousands of pounds a week to do one simple thing.
SNSUN Posted 20 April, 2024 Posted 20 April, 2024 On the plus side, in a game where every Saints fan could see where it was heading pretty early on, these twats have funded my next sesh. 1 2
Golac's Cunning Stunts Posted 20 April, 2024 Posted 20 April, 2024 Sad thing is Martin will still be here next season 3 1

OttawaSaint Posted 20 April, 2024 Posted 20 April, 2024 The way I feel right now. I don't think I'll bother with the rest of this season. Only ending one way IMO. 2 1

S-Clarke Posted 20 April, 2024 Posted 20 April, 2024 There was nothing wrong with how we played today, opened them up on numerous occasions and should have been out of sight. As dominant as the PNE game in that first part of the game. Hit the bar, really sloppy finishes from Adams and dallying from Brooks cost us that. Played well enough to have won that 9 times out of 10. We threw the team shape out of the window in the second half at the expense of winning/getting the goal, and it threw us off course. We tried to force it and then lost the composure we had in the first part of the game. It was always a pretty much non-thing for us to win every game, so in a weird way it's better that the final nail is delivered today than the last game against Leeds as that would have been psychologically gut-retching Playoff wise I have no idea what to expect, when the pressure is on and people start to look again this team does seem to buckle and certain players lose their heads/fluff their lines. They're fine when we're on the periphery and coming up from behind, but as soon as we step into the centre stage we lose our heads. And the playoffs are centre stage, all 3 games. Let's see how we handle that pressure, a hell of a lot more than we've had to deal with at any other stage this season. 2

Wiggles31 Posted 20 April, 2024 Posted 20 April, 2024 Should have been 3 nil up minimum first half. Adams and Brooks with inexcusable misses. Can’t blame the manager for that. The subs have been poor. Needed to regain shape and patience. 1
madge Posted 20 April, 2024 Posted 20 April, 2024 When the club need to use Mara as a back uP striker you knew we’d fecked it up.. regardless if we go up or not Martin is not the answer. Only one method of play, one dimensional and simply not good enough. Cardiff we’re pretty average but that second half was a disgrace as were the changes. Nobody can deny that we’re a bunch of bottlers and have absolutely zero composure. Just feck off the lot of them. 1
trousers Posted 20 April, 2024 Posted 20 April, 2024 The table at half time.... So near, yet so far... 1

Baird of the land Posted 20 April, 2024 Posted 20 April, 2024 horrible for Armstrong, going to miss out on the euros too.
aintforever Posted 20 April, 2024 Posted 20 April, 2024 If Che Adams could score that would have been an easy win. 2
bpsaint Posted 20 April, 2024 Posted 20 April, 2024 Embarrassing result. 12 first team players out, a draw would have been catastrophic, losing however was unfathomable. Russ just does not know how to counter when the opposition make changes, and Charles should have started. 3
