A win is a win but it was far from convincing

After being superb at Ipswich for 65 minutes and getting nothing, I’ll take that.

No, but a very tricky fixture navigated succesfully tho! Should have been 3-0 at half time yet again

Joe Aribo got MOTM for all those who said he was shit

Think it was more the case that he was fading in the second half for me - made  a few wayward passes.

Leeds not over yet

Technically, if we win every game (and either leeds drop more points or we turn the epic GD around), then we can finish above Leeds... and probably still come 3rd 🤣

Definitely not renowned for his energy 😂

On 96 points. And everyone on here will just say how shit Martin is and how they'd prefer Nathan Jones as manager.

Max points:

Leicester - 103

Leeds - 99 (if they draw tonight)

Ipswich - 102

Us - 96.

However if we win every game then Leeds max is also 96 and Leicester is 100.

WE CAN DO THIS! 😁

I don’t think he’s conditioned to be a box to box midfielder which is essentially what he’d been asked to do.

Have to agree. If you can't be bothered just fuck off.

It’s as if nobody wants to win this league. Every time someone goes top they lose their next game and end up third.

Maybe, just maybe, this League isn't as piss easy as a lot of the fans on this forum think it is.

No they won't.

Indeed. Our season has been one of the best in the history of the Championship. Unfortunately so have three other teams’ seasons.

Good win. Coventry don’t look much to worry about for the play-offs.

Nobody looks consistently special, even the top three. I’d say in an ideal world we end up with Ipswich third and Norwich sixth. The last thing the Tractors will want is a highly charged local derby, which also happens to be their biggest bogey fixture.

Agreed. Also while its all well and good saying that we need a run of form going into the playoffs, that good run of form could also result in us narrowly missing out on autos and the deflation that comes with that

Would have been ideal result’s tonight if we’d not bottled it the last 3 games.

Even just denying Ipswich the win and our position would look so much better

Lots of possession. But we created less than half the efforts on goal that we did in the first half.

It's not that we weren't looking for a chance. But mainly from safer, direct options, rather than creating and driving the game to get more. As Martin's system doesn't recognise things like momentum and human elements, it will continue to remain a mystery to him, why we let Coventry (and everyone else)  back into it.

Any Coventry pressure in that game was self inflicted. After the subs we looked happy enough to shore it up and stick with what we had. Inviting a few more attacks, where the players ended up congratulating Baz.

I thought that the side would be more driven tonight, and hoped the Subs would know they had to be the same level. Mara was aware of where to be around their box. But nothing really came near him, as we'd given up being able to put an attack together with AA and Adams off. Defensively, Mara was poor.

Rothwell was quiet again, while Charles was tidy enough, but isn't there to launch attacks really. Stu gave us some needed level headedness, while we didn't use Fraser much. Basically pretty disjointed after the switches.

We lost a focal point when Adams went off. Aribo did lots well, with s few of those mixed bag moments. Both off meant we had no strength left in the side. Another reason they got more of the ball.

Happy with the three points. Some early signs in the game of what Martin had been talking about in the press conference. But lots more of the same issues later on. And he's going to have to come with some solid instructions when making changes. We've players with particular strengths. If we're going to change things around, we can keep the system but look to maximise those.

Had to win 2 of them and bare minimum not lose to Ipswich.

We’d be right in it if we’d done that.

If we had any bottle we should be in the top 2. Great win.

But only because the teams above us have also lost games they should’ve won. Ipswich lost a game they were winning in the 94th minute, Leicester lost against Millwall and QPR, Leeds have just failed to score at home to a very sub-standard Sunderland.

Very happy with that tonight, great performance showing grit and determination. Very good win - COYR 🙂 Aribo MOTM was so good tonight 🙂 two more goals for Che 🙂 (1st deflected off of him and went in from KWP's shot).

Just looking at the last page on the way back to the car. Why would anyone say he was shit? He had a good game.

Thought we played pretty well overall. Created enough chances to make it comfortable and then really limited them to only one real shot on target.

The penalty decision was laughable, could see it wasn't one from the other end of the ground.
