I suppose you can't blame them. It was that equaliser in the 15th minute of added time, a stunning 40 foot range bullet header, that saved them from relegation, and prevented us from going up. 1

rallyboy Posted 31 August, 2022 Posted 31 August, 2022 Last night they drew 5-6 on penalties apparently. Because the actual game was a draw and they came a plucky second in the penalties which decides the bonus points, that makes the whole evening a draw, according to the few, so they may be firing up the bus... And did anyone else notice that Norris, the guy who scored the dramatic season-changing equaliser at SMS, is now selling shirts due to 'lack of space and a costly divorce', so there may be some bargains to be had at a car boot sale near you. 1 2 1

mack rill Posted 6 September, 2022 Posted 6 September, 2022 just goes to show every club has a few tossers disguising them selves as fans, bad enough chucking money away on the ticket on a brighter note the bloo few are keeping there heads just above water😎 2

Ok Steve Morans goal at FP was probably his, but ours was to actually win a game in the FA cup rather than get a draw in a team that was to be relegated
OldNick Posted 16 September, 2022 Posted 16 September, 2022 Pompey are doing quite well at present, all a bit annoyingly, but they are doing well. Shame Scarlet is there doing the business

Still a long season yet and if they lose out in the playoffs again I will die laughing. 1
Pamplemousse Posted 17 September, 2022 Posted 17 September, 2022 Annoyingly they got a last minute equaliser against Plymouth that kept them in the top 2

whelk Posted 2 October, 2022 Posted 2 October, 2022 Nice to see the one season they put some form together they have competition from clearly bigger clubs in Sheffield Wed, Ipswich, Plymouth, Barnsley,Bolton, Peterborough, Derby, Accrington and Cambridge. 1
Hatch Posted 17 October, 2022 Posted 17 October, 2022 I used to be able to say when watching these twats , i hate him, he’s useless, he’s a prick etc etc. now I don’t have a clue who any of them are. just so insignificant these days 2
skintsaint Posted 18 October, 2022 Posted 18 October, 2022 Dont really follow lower league football as much these days, are Pompey doing their usual strong start then a big flop down the league, then a desperate try for the playoffs?
OVER THE HILL Posted 18 October, 2022 Posted 18 October, 2022 FA cup draw, Pompey go to National League North side Hereford FC.
SW5 SAINT Posted 18 October, 2022 Posted 18 October, 2022 It’s away to Forest Green Rovers in League 1 next. Let’s hope the good people of Nailsworth, population 6000, are prepared…..

Bearsy Posted 2 November, 2022 Posted 2 November, 2022 Due to circumstances beyond my control, I am currently in Portsmouth. Now, I've never been to Portsmouth before, or for that matter a Holiday Inn Express, but by the lifts they have this sign: It completely stopped me in my tracks! I must've read it 100 times. It seems to be some kind of code. I think it's something to do with the words in red and the capitalisation of Brother, but I can't quite figure it out. Can anyone explain it for me pls? 1

Pamplemousse Posted 4 November, 2022 Posted 4 November, 2022 They're live on the BBC tonight As always with cup competitions, hoping they get through so we get a chance of playing them
Pamplemousse Posted 4 November, 2022 Posted 4 November, 2022 On the other hand, them losing on national TV to non-league opposition is quite funny
31cc Posted 5 November, 2022 Posted 5 November, 2022 Pompey paying tribute to the late Ronnie Radford by generously playing the part of Newcastle.
jawillwill Posted 13 November, 2022 Author Posted 13 November, 2022 After Pompey's plucky draw v's Morcambe yesterday, they are just 10 points off the automatic promotion places. Same amount of points as Saints are from the European places.

jawillwill Posted 18 November, 2022 Author Posted 18 November, 2022 Two more points dropped at home tonight. I think they've only won once in their past 9 league games. Borderline Saints level of shitness. 1
rallyboy Posted 19 November, 2022 Posted 19 November, 2022 It was played locally and it was against Derby, that makes it a point in a local derby match. Fire up the bus, unfurl the bunting - it's time for a victory parade! 4 1
