Our play in a nutshell.

Martin is willing to offer up the spaces down the flanks. He offsets that by having numbers in the midfield who should dominate and create passes through for the attackers.

Except those extra numbers result in disjointed, mostly plodding, posession that doesn't create enough, with the knowledge we're concede somewhere along the way, if not from the gaps.

Very unimpressed with Brooks just now. He lazily assumed the ball would come to him so started running forward and waited for it to come, but the Blackburn player just nipped in and took it. He then jogs back as they are attacking from that and lets his man run completely free into the box.

I know we didn't sign him for his defensive capabilities, but that was very poor.

Enjoyed that little phase where the Comms were praising Rothwell and how he can run with the ball. Suddenly the ball does fall for Rothwell and you could feel the excitement from the commentators and Rothwell fumbles and gives the ball away 😂
