This is horrible.  Walking football at its worst and wide open down Walker-Peters side again.

Really incomprehensible how different this side now looks compared to the wonderful unbeaten run

I love our fanbase and their "Martin will never drop his favourites" rhetoric

Been said about Manning & Smallbone this season who, by my reckoning, have been dropped to the bench at multiple points this season.

But as ever, let's never let facts get in the way of a good whinge.

"No but....yeah but.....no but......"

Death by a thousand passes so far, with us just as likely to die as Blackburn.

We do this a lot, as if we've forgotten how to attack. Then the opposition gets the ball and quick few passes and they create a chance. Why can't we do that?

Massive miss by AA proving he’s no CF

in the prem that might br the only chance you get. i'd like to think he'll get a few today.

Blackburn are tosh, but they still get an easy (unchallenged) opportunity to maraud down our right hand side. If the winger could pick a man out we might be behind. It's that kind of defending that keeps fucking us.

he may have his failings, but Baz really is good coming off his line and using his box to cover our back four.

We look completely lethargic and devoid of ideas but hey we have 70% possession and that's all that matters

Possession is the first priority of MartinBall. We're trying another variation of how to make that effective today.

Keeping the strength in midfield with Aribo, but not up front with Che.

Having a samey, but hopefully more mobile front 3 in Brooks, AA and Fraser.

Losing the crisp, short passing game but hopefully allowing more direct play through Stephens and Rothwell.

great move from one end to the other and Aribo almost scoring.

I get bored of people moaning about our overpassing, but that is exactly what the point of it is.

Nor did the double physical presence of the Aribo/ Adams before that...

Or the Direct balls over to Sule for a while the time before that...

Or....

We’ve resorted to defenders trying long balls to our powder puff forwards, bypassing midfield entirely. Completely ineffective of course.

Naturally Blackburn close to scoring on the break.

we have created two great chances. AA misses a tap in and Aribo hits the bar.

That said, could easily be one down there. Great chance for Blackburn to lob Baz.

Five loanees and no Acadamey youngsters in the starting XI shows how we have regressed over the last few years.

I know most Championship clubs have loanees but  I wish we had more players we had scouted and s[gned

my word they are five on three here. Two Rovers unmarked in the six yard box. Bloody hell. Good job THB cuts the cross out.

Some good opportunities to break quickly and yet we knock it back and sideways.. this isn’t thoroughbred football.. it’s nodding donkeys in a farmyard. Players are being  stagnated by this no risk football..
