Tamesaint Posted 1 April, 2024 Posted 1 April, 2024 (edited) Has anyone played or spotted any good April Fool jokes today ? Nerdle has a good one for any followers of that numbers based, daily computer game . I once told someone at work that a Mr Lyon had tried to phone her and could she return the call. I gave her the phone number. She tried several times but not surprisingly the phone at Dudley Zoo was constantly engaged that morning. My, how we laughed. 😂😂😂 Edited 1 April, 2024 by Tamesaint
sadoldgit Posted 1 April, 2024 Posted 1 April, 2024 There’s a hilarious spoof on the front page of The Guardian saying how the Tories non dom plan could save Sunak’s family £250m. Oh wait….
rallyboy Posted 1 April, 2024 Posted 1 April, 2024 I once saw a clown driving around the country in a big red bus with loads of made-up stuff written on the side, promising all kinds of joke scenarios that couldn't exist, it was so obviously a joke that I don't think anyone was fooled. Weird thing was, it was June.... 1 3

Lighthouse Posted 1 April, 2024 Posted 1 April, 2024 Nice to see we can have a fun, light-hearted April fools thread, without needing to turn it into another whining, cry baby, political thread. Top work chaps! 1
CB Fry Posted 1 April, 2024 Posted 1 April, 2024 People posting things they don't believe just for April Fools kicks is childish and immature.

Good one 🤣🤣
Turkish Posted 1 April, 2024 Posted 1 April, 2024 I once heard a politician struggling to describe what a woman was. Imagine that 🤣🤣
sadoldgit Posted 1 April, 2024 Posted 1 April, 2024 There have been some classics over the years - the Panorama report on the Italian spaghetti harvest, The Guardian’s travel feature on the San Serriffe islands, the report that Big Ben was to go digital… The trouble is now there are so many ridiculous things happening in the world it feels like every day is an April Fool’s prank 😉
Whitey Grandad Posted 1 April, 2024 Posted 1 April, 2024 I checked through The Times several times but every article seemed like an April Fool’s article to me.
Weston Super Saint Posted 1 April, 2024 Posted 1 April, 2024 Not sure that April fool's works these days with so much instant communication. The best one I remember was in the 90's - pre internet and mobile phones!. The local radio was reporting that a container ship had lost some containers going along the Solent and money and gold bars (that should have been the giveaway) had washed up on the beach in Portsmouth. Caused gridlock on the septic isle for a good few hours!!
Turkish Posted 1 April, 2024 Posted 1 April, 2024 There have been some proper shit ones today. Aston Villa to ground share with Birmingham, VAR to be introduced in grassroots football just two of them.
Holmes_and_Watson Posted 1 April, 2024 Posted 1 April, 2024 Price of football podcast with Man It's moving to Dublin following lack of support for new stadium.
sadoldgit Posted 2 April, 2024 Posted 2 April, 2024 April Fools story? https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-13259029/amp/Rishi-Sunak-facing-Tory-revolt-plans-criminalise-nuisance-rough-sleepers-including-cause-excessive-smell-minister-refusing-publicly-new-laws.html
RedArmy Posted 2 April, 2024 Posted 2 April, 2024 Russell Martin did a good one yesterday. He dropped one of the top 5 players in the league. Oh how we laughed.
