While Bazunu should do better (with both goals) the second went through THB's legs so he will have seen it late.

One again, the bigger question is why was their player completely unmarked to score?

Went back to walking football since their subs and they capitalised. Equaliser was coming but Baz has let us down there.

You can't seriously be suggesting he could have stopped either goal?

yes he should have saved the second

will have another look at the first

you have very low expectations of what a keeper should be doing at this level

If Ipswich get promoted they will get fucking murdered in the PL

Agreed. A team of Championship level shithouses that get a lot of lucky breaks.

Armstrong is with him, but switches off a fraction, isn't tight enough ad the rest is history.

Unmarked, first time shot from inside the area, which goes through a defenders legs and people are slating Bazunu.

It’s nowhere near the corner. He’s too slow to get off his near post and too slow to get down.

Honestly, this Ref is having a shocker…our players get clobbered and he gives nothing. They fall over and he’s all over it.

Because he’s dog shit. How many times are excuses going to be made? 2 shots two goals. Both he should have saved but yes, one went through a pair of legs

And you have seriously high expectations.

The defence of Bazunu is becoming a joke. He should save the second. End of. Not hit hard and reasonably central. Goalkeepers are paid to make saves not make the occasional good pass with their feet. If we were to go up and stick with Baz in goal we will get absolutely killed. He is nowhere near good enough.

The whole point of a keeper is to bail out the rest of the team when it goes wrong. The last line of our defence is made of victoria sponge.

Nowhere near the middle. But don’t let that affect your prejudices.

Except that it was. Hardly in the corner was it?

A better keeper, even at this level, would save that. He’s not good enough for a team looking for autos.

I don’t disagree with the second bit. I thought Baz was weak for the first goal but I’d give him a pass on the second one being as it went through THB.

Exactly. People seem to forget that some teams have keepers that make saves rather than let in almost every shot on target.

People just refuse to listen to this

I like Edozie and even if we don't go up I hope he stays next season. Especially as we'll lose a lot of other talent.

Bazunu has not been the answer for a long, long, long time.

Even the ball off the post, previous to the second Ipswich goal, he was super late on.

Did you not see it went through the defenders legs so he would have seen it very late?  Plus, for both goals the outfield players have left their man completely unmarked under no pressure

Gavin Bazunu will cost us any chance of promotion either automatically or via the play offs, he is absolutely dire, so bad in fact I can not think of a worse Southampton goalkeeper in my lifetime.

Without a doubt he’s cost us more points than he’s saved us this season and given the position we are in it’s just not good enough.

Any well struck shot from inside the box, if it stays on the deck, is going to be very hard to get to. Gravity is a universal constant, whether the shot is in the corner or not. He’s nowhere near as bad as Forster and Kelvin used to be, getting beaten by low shots from well outside the area.
