LGTL Posted 28 February, 2024 Posted 28 February, 2024 Liverpool have been absolutely awful, so of course that was going to happen 😂
Holmes_and_Watson Posted 28 February, 2024 Posted 28 February, 2024 We had our chances. They had no problems putting together a decent move, and that early hit beats us. Not out of it but need to start that second as we did the first. Hopefully they'll want a second, and give us some space. 1
SNSUN Posted 28 February, 2024 Posted 28 February, 2024 Deflected. Not Lumley’s fault but it had to be the kid making his full debut didn’t it. Still another half…
Harry_SFC Posted 28 February, 2024 Posted 28 February, 2024 You can't go to Anfield and miss so many chances. Bloody annoying that. 6
Lighthouse Posted 28 February, 2024 Posted 28 February, 2024 That’s what happens when you have a confident, first time, instinctive shot. You make your own luck, to an extent. 4

obelisk Posted 28 February, 2024 Posted 28 February, 2024 Yet again profligacy in front of goal let's us down. 1

AlexLaw76 Posted 28 February, 2024 Posted 28 February, 2024 Some good play, terrible finishing....unlucky goal (but inevitible) Charles is terrible BTW
adrian lord Posted 28 February, 2024 Posted 28 February, 2024 What’s that nauseating dirge song that Liverpool sing these days?
SNSUN Posted 28 February, 2024 Posted 28 February, 2024 Needed to take our chances. Still we have a chance. Been decent for the most part. 1

Jimmy_D Posted 28 February, 2024 Posted 28 February, 2024 We go in 1-0 down but it’s certainly not down to the team or tactics selected. Excellent performance not rewarded so far. 9
Saint Fan CaM Posted 28 February, 2024 Posted 28 February, 2024 Fantastic possession stats. Everyone in World delighted that Scousers are ahead. What’s not to like?
davefizzy14 Posted 28 February, 2024 Posted 28 February, 2024 We are so unlucky to be one down in this. Hopefully we can get back into this in second half - COYR 😊 1

Convict Colony Posted 28 February, 2024 Posted 28 February, 2024 Manning, bree and lumley do not look comfortable with the ball being played to them under pressure 1
Saint Pete Posted 28 February, 2024 Posted 28 February, 2024 Good half from us, only let down by the finishing. Mara in particular should have had a couple.
Farmer Saint Posted 28 February, 2024 Posted 28 February, 2024 I'm happy to go out tbh - let's have a good performance, go out, and then really go at the League.
Pamplemousse Posted 28 February, 2024 Posted 28 February, 2024 Irritating, time to put on the big guns.

trousers Posted 28 February, 2024 Posted 28 February, 2024 Decent first half, albeit against their 3rd team, or whatever it is... (Yes, I know we're not playing our first choice team either) A good performance with no goals highlights our lack of a clinical strike force, yet again.
obelisk Posted 28 February, 2024 Posted 28 February, 2024 Started giving the ball away too easily as the half wore on and that gave Liverpool some belief. Probably end 4-0 now.

Manning and Rothwell have looked a bit suspect with the quick passing.
redkeith Posted 28 February, 2024 Posted 28 February, 2024 Played really well. Could have been 1 or 2 up , but then you get scouse luck. Its sport is soon bad , not evening being able to keep record from the lumley save. Keep going Saints and show what you could do if you got promoted
The Cat Posted 28 February, 2024 Posted 28 February, 2024 Thought we were really good first half. Missed some good chances, they got a lucky deflection for the goal. A few loose passes here and there but on the whole some really good play in the build up. Fair play to the players on the pitch so far, they've all put in a great shift. 3

saintant Posted 28 February, 2024 Posted 28 February, 2024 Bit unlucky to be one down to a deflected shot. We've put together some good moves but as often is the case let down by weak finishing. Probably be hard to get back into it now but at last we've put on a decent display.

Miltonaggro Posted 28 February, 2024 Posted 28 February, 2024 Cruel deflection for their wanky goal, but saints were better side first half and will know that. Manning (mind the gap), Charles and Sulemana clearly capable of the brain fart, but otherwise the boys look well up for it. Really like Lumley and Bree and stephens has been a real skipper that half. 1
Saint NL Posted 28 February, 2024 Posted 28 February, 2024 I did like how Sulemana was always very wide left, it really meant there was a lot of space. Granted he has no end product, but eventually one has to come off.
Holmes_and_Watson Posted 28 February, 2024 Posted 28 February, 2024 1 minute ago, Convict Colony said: Manning, bree and lumley do not look comfortable with the ball being played to them under pressure Not helped by not having the confidence of people being there to pick up the ball, with no Downed or Smallbone. Liverpool are well drilled to shut down teams that play out without the system we've shown at our better games this season. This line up does take a chance, and they've done okay considering.
Convict Colony Posted 28 February, 2024 Posted 28 February, 2024 For fucks sake someone make sulemana change his boots, the last few games he's slipped far too many times. Some poor decision making up front, thought charles has been playing very well recieving the ball. 2
