Over and out! Glimpses of some good stuff from us but the decision making of our strikers was beyond horrendous!

We needed to sign a decent reliable striker and didn't, we signed one that was already injured instead!

Sorry fellas but if you’re not embarrassed by losing 3-0 to a bunch of kids then I don’t know what to say to you

This has been a disgrace

There is some rubbish on here tonight.

Kids who just beat Chelsea?

Yes far from a first 11, but this team would still beat mamy in prem.

World up winner, Van D, Gakpo, Elliot plays most games, Konate .

Let's have it right. They are no more a bunch of kids than we are. Edozie,  Charles,  Mara, THB, Sulemana.

They've fielded VVD, Taimitkas, Gakpo, mcaallister, Elliot, Gomez.

Sorry but this is bollocks and you know it is if you watched the first 45 minutes of this game

They didn't have a midfield and we would've scored multiple goals if we had any quality on the pitch

Game swung on two big moments - Charles panics and misses an absolute sitter then Smallbone gifts them their second goal. Should never have been 3 goals between the two teams.

The amount of chances that Liverpool gave both Chelsea and saints, they would get battered in the championship.

This was a free hit and we gave it a bloody good swing. A bit of the luck they had with their first goal or some finishing like our offside goal and we’d have been right in the game. Just didn’t pan out for us when it could have.

Get a grip everybody. We looked good and competed and with better finishing could have been three up. It was our reserves against their reserves. Proud to be a Saints fan. No disgrace and confidence booster

Yep. Our first team is no better than our squad players or conversely, our squad players have done as good a job on Pool as the first team could. The context of course is that we were playing the best club team in Europe currently. No shame…just f-ing profligate in front of goal.

I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, if Will Smallbone hadn’t come from our academy he wouldn’t be anywhere near this squad.

Our once famed academy. Liverpool youngsters have been really good. But how has our academy fallen so behind.

I’ll answer my own question, the club has had some mixed priorities and owners in the last few seasons.

Yes. I've learned that we are nowhere near ready to be competing in the PL yet, and it's probably for the best that we don't get promoted this season because we would need to upgrade pretty much our entire squad in the summer to avoid getting utterly humiliated.
