Mr X Posted 28 February, 2024 Posted 28 February, 2024 Over and out! Glimpses of some good stuff from us but the decision making of our strikers was beyond horrendous! We needed to sign a decent reliable striker and didn't, we signed one that was already injured instead! 2

LGTL Posted 28 February, 2024 Posted 28 February, 2024 4 defeats from 5 now. Things are looking good 2
die Mannyschaft Posted 28 February, 2024 Posted 28 February, 2024 Played much better in 1st half but 2 of the 5 big chances Should have been slotted in net. It didn't look the boring football we normally play.
aintforever Posted 28 February, 2024 Posted 28 February, 2024 (edited) We had the chances and fluffed it. With Man U away being the next round we are better off out of it anyway. Edited 28 February, 2024 by aintforever 6

chownie20 Posted 28 February, 2024 Posted 28 February, 2024 (edited) Let's have it right. They are no more a bunch of kids than we are. Edozie, Charles, Mara, THB, Sulemana. They've fielded VVD, Taimitkas, Gakpo, mcaallister, Elliot, Gomez. Edited 28 February, 2024 by chownie20 Typo 3

Sorry but this is bollocks and you know it is if you watched the first 45 minutes of this game They didn't have a midfield and we would've scored multiple goals if we had any quality on the pitch
saintant Posted 28 February, 2024 Posted 28 February, 2024 Game swung on two big moments - Charles panics and misses an absolute sitter then Smallbone gifts them their second goal. Should never have been 3 goals between the two teams. 2
Saint NL Posted 28 February, 2024 Posted 28 February, 2024 Expected nothing, got nothing. Lots of missed chances, lots of brainless play. Just the usual stuff 1
skintsaint Posted 28 February, 2024 Posted 28 February, 2024 fucking wanky messages I'm getting from my Liverpool supporting mates giving it large. Fuck off Saints.

Jimmy_D Posted 28 February, 2024 Posted 28 February, 2024 This was a free hit and we gave it a bloody good swing. A bit of the luck they had with their first goal or some finishing like our offside goal and we’d have been right in the game. Just didn’t pan out for us when it could have. 3
davefizzy14 Posted 28 February, 2024 Posted 28 February, 2024 Really hoping KWP has just picked up a knock and will be fit for Saturday 🙏 1

woksaintly Posted 28 February, 2024 Posted 28 February, 2024 Get a grip everybody. We looked good and competed and with better finishing could have been three up. It was our reserves against their reserves. Proud to be a Saints fan. No disgrace and confidence booster 2

I’ll answer my own question, the club has had some mixed priorities and owners in the last few seasons.

I've learned that we are nowhere near ready to be competing in the PL yet, and it's probably for the best that we don't get promoted this season because we would need to upgrade pretty much our entire squad in the summer to avoid getting utterly humiliated.
