Those other 7 wins have come against teams in the bottom 10. So it’s more a prediction on form over the course of the season rather than being unnecessarily negative

notnowcato Posted 16 February, 2024 Posted 16 February, 2024 A draw would be a great result tonight. Come on you Saints!!
NorthLondonSFC Posted 16 February, 2024 Posted 16 February, 2024 Got a spare for tonight can meet outside the ground before KO or in the Royal Oak pub - £28

Still licking my wounds from Tuesday. If we’re at full strength though, those dour, back country cunts won’t know what’s hit them , 3-1 victory. 1 3
Guan 2.0 Posted 16 February, 2024 Posted 16 February, 2024 My Line up for tonight, with alternatives if first choice is injured. Players need to start earning their way OUT of the team. Manning has never been good enough. Bazunu KWP THB Bednarek Bree/Meghoma/The Kitman if he has a left foot Smallbone Downes/Charles Aribo A.Armstrong Adams/Mara Brooks/Sulemana 2
Holmes_and_Watson Posted 16 February, 2024 Posted 16 February, 2024 We bounce straight back... with a game where we don't finish much and look a bit disjointed, but do enough to get a 1-0 win.

There's only so much you can teach in a lecture theatre without putting in the hours on the training pitch. It's really no different to Wednesday - Saturday which is a lot more common and accepted. 1

davefizzy14 Posted 16 February, 2024 Posted 16 February, 2024 (edited) Hoping we can bounce back tonight, get the win and move back upto 2nd. 1-0 to us - Brooks to score 😊 COYR 😊 Edited 16 February, 2024 by davefizzy14 1
saintant Posted 16 February, 2024 Posted 16 February, 2024 Getting bad vibes about this game probably because we were poor on Tuesday. Hoping for some bouncebackability.

Graffito Posted 16 February, 2024 Posted 16 February, 2024 Apparently the Hawthorns will be rocking tonight. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/68313059
SfcPhil Posted 16 February, 2024 Posted 16 February, 2024 If Flynn plays we have a chance, if he doesn't, we're in trouble. They've beaten Leeds and Ipswich at home without conceding. If we can grind out a win then it'll be a massive boost going into two home games next week.

hypochondriac Posted 16 February, 2024 Posted 16 February, 2024 Place your bets. Downes in or out? I say out.
ButtikonSaint Posted 16 February, 2024 Posted 16 February, 2024 (edited) Gonna go for three nil saints... Think after Tuesday's spanking, the boys will want to show their true class. Actually, sod it... four nil - hat-trick Shea Charles... Edited 16 February, 2024 by ButtikonSaint

adrian lord Posted 16 February, 2024 Posted 16 February, 2024 Can't be long before we see the line-ups???
jamesfp1 Posted 16 February, 2024 Posted 16 February, 2024 Get at them early, get the crowd on their backs.
beatlesaint Posted 16 February, 2024 Posted 16 February, 2024 Stephens right back, KWP left back? bugger 1

FarehamSaintJames Posted 16 February, 2024 Posted 16 February, 2024 I would 100% take a draw now. Stephens at full back? Bloody hell. 1
LGTL Posted 16 February, 2024 Posted 16 February, 2024 That’s probably the weakest line up of the season.
Saint Matty 76 Posted 16 February, 2024 Posted 16 February, 2024 Certainly not a fan of that team, hopefully it surprises.
Wade Garrett Posted 16 February, 2024 Posted 16 February, 2024 Glad he’s dropped Manning. Fucking awful player. Could be 3 at the back maybe. 1

Indeed, but putting yet more faith in calamity Jack ! you concede 6 goals in two games so you put in Stephens to stem that? Fuckin hell 🙄 Edited 16 February, 2024 by beatlesaint
DT Posted 16 February, 2024 Posted 16 February, 2024 That side looks very fragile when we need to firm up. Needs backbone not smallbone. Bloody hell 2
Colinjb Posted 16 February, 2024 Posted 16 February, 2024 Glad Mara starts. Hope Martin was working with this team on how to defender coherently and then support once we have possession. West Brom will have even more reason for optimism after seeing this teamsheet.
hypochondriac Posted 16 February, 2024 Posted 16 February, 2024 Probably see us smash them now but on paper that's a rotten lineup.
ErwinK1961 Posted 16 February, 2024 Posted 16 February, 2024 He’s dropped Manning, which people have been clamouring for. He’s started Mara, who people have said should be starting ahead of Adams. Downes not fit so no choice but to play Charles as literally no-one else. Not sure what people are expecting? Chucking Meghoma into a game like this against the likes of Diangana would be crazy. 5
saintant Posted 16 February, 2024 Posted 16 February, 2024 Thought if he was going to bring in Stephens it would be as a 3 with wingbacks. Think RM is probably bringing in more height and physicality. Spine is weak again so it's going to be a tough gig.

Chewy Posted 16 February, 2024 Posted 16 February, 2024 Think it’s just a case of not having two attacking full backs - we had better balance with Bree for that reason. Might get away with it against weaker sides and with Downes in, but without our proper midfield anchor we’re far too exposed when both full backs push on. Sensible decision imho

Convict Colony Posted 16 February, 2024 Posted 16 February, 2024 Finally Manning dropped. Mara starts Expect Charles to be better. Fuck knows if we score or win
Hopper Posted 16 February, 2024 Posted 16 February, 2024 Feels like the type of match that might call for Stephen’s’ shithousery at some point... Hopefully he doesn’t get too adventurous and everything wide from us comes through KWP and Arma. 1
Saint NL Posted 16 February, 2024 Posted 16 February, 2024 Eurgh, suddenly don't feel optimistic. Happy with a draw tonight.
