Barsiem Posted 12 February, 2024 Posted 12 February, 2024 Fair play to him, and indeed anyone, who undertakes fostering. He spoke about it several months back in the echo as well https://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/23813804.saints-announce-partnership-city-council-fostering-southampton/ 1

the saint in winchester Posted 16 February, 2024 Posted 16 February, 2024 What a great piece of film, and how wonderful he is using his time and resources in such a positive way. Life after football, when the bright lights go out, has seen many ex-footballers struggle to find a purpose in life. Yet here Pedro Pele and his wife are using their time so well. And still in the Southampton area. That Theo looks a player too. Would hope the club see him as part of the scholars soon. 1
Andrew Watson Posted 16 February, 2024 Posted 16 February, 2024 What a wonderful caring couple Pedro and his wife are,it is good to see that some ex players are really nice human beings. 2
saintstowin Posted 16 February, 2024 Posted 16 February, 2024 Absolutely brilliant. My wife's family have fostered for 30+ years and it makes such a difference. I work in Children's Services and the lack of foster placements is sadly stark. The only options for many are miles from their home and not with a family but a care provider which just isn't the same. I hope this generates some more foster carers. There's some amazing young people out there needing a home and support. 2
